How far along in your pregnancy is the baby head down? I am 32 weeks and my dr. said that the baby is already head down. Is this a sign that I may have preterm labor?

I don't know, this is my first pregnancy too, but I'm due today, and the baby's head has been down forever, engaged for probably 4-6 weeks, he's so low they can barely find him! I don't think it's preterm labouur at all. I worried about that too though, but rest a__sured. It's good for the baby's head to be down, less of a chance of a c-section:)

No, not at all :) Your baby is right on schedule, just preparing to be born. My daughter turned at 30 weeks, and is now just about to turn 3 :) So dont worry hun, take care of yourself, stretch, get rest, and get ready for that baby :)

That's great! The earlier the baby turns the better! Good luck ang.

for some women the head doesnt position down until they are in active labor....there is NO particular point when it is down..you may be able to feel when it is though..pressure in your pelvic area.. this is my 2nd pregnancy and this babes head has been down since about 30weeks and I am 40 weeks and 2days today..arghh! dont worry it will happen when it is ready or time to give birth!
