Hello everyone! I have a great dilema. I wonder how dangerous is attempting a va___al birth only 11 months after my first c-section? I delivered va___ally twice and the last baby was born at 39 weeks by c-section due to low amniotic fluid and breech position.(the level of fluid was however 6) Is it very dangerous to try a va___al birth so soon?Does this short period of time between my first section and the possible va___al delivery increase the risks of uterine rupture much more than 1%? I would appreciate a lot your advices, experiences and knowledge on this matter. advanced thanks

I would talk to your doctor about it. He/she has a better knowledge of your body and the health of your current pregnancy than anyone on this site.

Thank you a lot for answering Jamie. Unfortunately in this country we do not have a personal doctor. We are ent_tled to medical check ups performed by a general pract_tioner just 3 times during the whole pregnancy.Otherwise we only go to monthly check ups performed by a mid wife. Only if problems arise, we are sent to a obs-gyn but every time when this happens,we are checked by different doctors. I am still hoping to hear experiences of moms who delivered successfully v____ally at a short period after c-section. lots of best wishes to all

Wow, that's horrible healthcare! What country do you live in?

Yes, I do know that it might seem a horrible health care at a first impression. The reality is that in this small country we have one of the lowest in world maternal mortality .The international statistics show also that neonatal death and stillbirth are very low here. Heath care is free to all pregnant women and all children under the age of 16. Well, I am still waiting for experiences of moms who delivered successfully v____ally at a short period after their lattest c-section.

Anyone in my situation? I really need your VBAC experiences as 2 doctors already told me that the muscle of my uterus is strong, (they also checked my incision by ultrasound) and I can try to deliver v____ally. I would really appreciate your experiences ladies and hope to read good news regards an European mom

From what I have read you may have a sligtly increased risk of rupture, but still not much more than 3% if you go into labor naturally and they do not use ANYTHING to speed labor along. The fact that you have had two successful v____al births is very positive toward the success rate of a vbac. I was given the choice to vbac 16 months after my section, but since i have never delivered v____ally my chances of success are lower and the doctors recommended a repeat. If I were you I would plan and prepare to vbac, and if the time comes and labor does not go as planned, they will still be able to do a section. I think some mom's on the c-section board have had a vbac close, but there don't seem to be too many out there. You sound like a good candidate though!

Thank you so much for answering my question.I think I´ll go for a trial of labour but I am still scared of the possibility when something could go unnoticeably wrong and I can loose both my baby and my uterus. I still hope to read more successful experiences of moms who were in a similar situation. regards from Europe an European mom
