Complete Placenta Previa

Hey everyone- I am currently just over 12 weeks pregnant. Last night I started bleeding, light at first then gushes that didn't stop all night. I've had two previous m/c so I thought this was it. I went in this morning and they said I have a complete placenta previa. I am on bedrest for 3 days now but am able to return to work on Monday. I was so excited the baby was ok I forgot to ask questions. They explained what it was and what I couldn't do but not the complications yet. I don't know anything about it and google makes it sound awful. I want to hear personal experiences. I go back on Wednesday but anybody willing to share their story would be much appreciated. I also wanted to know if anyone was able to work all the way through. I am a nurse so I have some reservations about returning since the bleeding happened after a long day.

I had partial placenta previa found at about 20 weeks and many people said that was early to even diagnose it because usually the placenta moves in to the correct position by full term (picture the letters on a ballon as you inflate it, they move). So you are very early to have it diagnosed but if you had symptoms (the bleeding) I would just follow drs orders and take it easy. There is a good chance that your placenta will "migrate" like mine did and many do. If it doesn't, you would need a c-section but you probably know that already. You may be told no s_x, at least for now. Hopefully yours will move up, keep us posted and good luck.
