Could It Be Listeriosis

Paranoid?? - August 26

I am 11 weeks pregnant. A week ago I came down with a very sore throat and a high fever that lasted 2 days. I assumed it was the start of a flu but the sore throat went after a few days and i only had a slight sniffle. Then a week later I had diarrhoea for a couple of days. I've been reading up on the symptoms of Listeriosis and I'm concerend that these could be some of them. I have also read that Listeriosis can cause stillbirth and miscarriage. I've now noticed that my br___ts are no longer feeling tight or sore like they were only a couple of weeks ago and I'm not needing to urinate as often. Could these be signs that somthing has happened to my baby? Or are they normal for this stage in my pregnancy and I'm just being paranoid?

Please seek professional medical advice IMMEDIATELY. This forum is not an adequate subst_tute for something so serious.

It sounds like these symptoms can be normal in this stage of your pregnancy. I and a friend are pregnant, (expectant date 2 days apart), and we both had a sore throat around our 11th - 12th week. We are now both on our 18th week. Heard the heartbeat just this week, and everything was fine. Just take good care of yourself, and if you are really concernced, talk to your doctor.
