Having Probs W Preg Should Dr Do Hcg Levels

According to my LMP I should be 8w4d. My ultrasound shows 6w5d. It seems to me that would be showing the baby's real age. I am new to this so I don't know. The doctor says it has probably has stopped growing. I never had any extreme pregnancy symptoms. I started having brown spotting immediately after my pap smear. I am scheduled for another ultrasound next week and he already wants to schedule my DNC. My question is I have asked him to check my hcg levels and he said it is not necessary. I have not had them checked at all. Should I get a second opinion?

Always get a second opinion. It's just better for peace of mind that way. You will ever wonder. Good luck and God bless
