Hi. Üm I have genital warts. I really want to have a healthy baby. I would like to know if anyone wit hpv can have a healthy baby. Thank you

I believe as long as your warts are not active, yes. there is a chance of spreading this to the baby, so get the best dr. possible! HPV, no warts probably has the least problems involved.

sarah.lowe: of course you can have a healthy baby, but you have to be careful of infections during pregnancy. Active warts could hurt the baby. I have hpv, no warts, had my cells frozen last year. I'm not worried, but if I had warts it would be different. Don't deny any chances of complications. Be on TOP of everytthing if you are wooried, listen to your gut.

i had genital warts and a v____al delivery and my daughter contracted hpv from me. She now has hpv and has seen so many pediatric specialist to get rid of her genital warts...its heartbreaking. I had no idea while i was pregnant that it was that serious so i had laser removal of my warts right after the baby was born. I would talk to your doctor about your concerns of spreading the virus because it can happen.

I'm curious ..when did your daughter show signs or symptoms of this? When did she contract it?

Transmission from mother to baby is very rare. Just make sure you discuss this with your doctor. SLPMD

I answered before, there are many things that you need to discuss with your doctor. You can and will have a healthy pregnancy. Just make sure you talk with him or her. SLPMD

I have discussed it with my dr before during and after pregnancy.... I still worry though...my daughter is 15 months now and appears fine...
