Intraventricular Echogenic Focus

I saw my ob the other day for my 20 week ultrasound, and I was told they found a intraventricular echogenic focus. He said this is a "soft" indicator of Downs Syndrome. I am scared to death!! He told me not to worry because the blood test from my 1st trimester screening came back normal, showing my chance for deliverying a child with Down's being 13,000:1 and that the thickness of the back of the baby's neck was also normal. And I was told the baby was able to open and close his fist which is also a good indicator that he is fine, but I am a natural worrier so I am still nervous! Any one out there with words of wisdom or advice about this subject? Thanks!!

My baby also had a echogenic foci spot on his heart but he was born in March perfect as can be. Do not worry at all because it is so very common these days because the technology we use is so good. Also look on the 30 and over forum and there is a thread called echogenic foci and it has a lot of woman on there with the same thing.
