No Fetal Pole At 6 Weeks

Hi everyone. I have a question that I hope some of you can answer. I am convinced that I am 11 weeks pregnant based on my date of conception and the near impossibility that conception occurred other than when I think it did. Conception should have occurred around 12/15 - 12/17. I had a period [very light, not my usual period] on 1/1/07, which of course is what the docs are using to date my pregnancy. That would have made me 6 and 1/2 weeks last Friday. I went for an US and a fetal pole was not seen. The TVUS dated my pregnancy at 6 weeks 1 day, which even by the docs calculations would be off by 1/2 a week. Aside from not being nice and or helpful, the docs are having me come back on Friday for another TVUS. Any ideas on what I should expect [at 7 1/2 weeks by their calculations]. Also, I no longer "feel" pregnant, have been having miserable cramps, but no bleeding. This is my second pregnancy and I remember quite clearly that "feeling" of being pregnant. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've had two pregnancies and two miscarriages already and am now pregnant for the third time. All I can tell you is stay positive, I kow that a week before my first miscarriage I had that same feeling of Not feeling pregnant anymore. But with my second pregnancy and now this one I'm not feeling really pregnant....I think some of it is mental....worrying too much and trying to figure too much out. With everyting I've read on this never know.....don't give up hope.

Thank you Karen for taking the time to answer my question. I went for my 3rd transv____al US yesterday and there was no growth. No heart beat, either and the doctor felt that the heartbeat seen last week was probably mine. I have been diagnosed with a missed miscarriage and am scheduled for a D&C on Monday. Confirmed with the doctor, I was probably right about my conception date. It is a very disconcerting feeling, knowing that the child you are still carrying had died some time ago. Nevertheless, I a__sume that this is God's will and I can accept it. Good luck to you and I'll keep you in my prayers.
