Has anyone had it or is anyone at risk for it? I'm only 12 weeks & my last u/s results were that my placenta was covering my cervix. I was wondering how common it was for it to not move when the uterus starts to expand.

Hi There, I had partial placenta previa at my 25 week scan and was told by my obs not to worry he was confident it would move and it did. The placenta moves as your uterus stretches so you have a long way to strecth yet! I think the guideline is that the placenta must be at least 2cm away from the cervix for natural labour to occur. My advice to you is to rest yourself, no s_x as this can cause bleeding and generally take it easy. try not to worry as it more than likely will move. I stressed over mine and it took away my excitement, I am 35 weeks now on second pregnancy. Best of Luck!
