Spotting Feeling Scared Need Some Support

Hello, everyone. I'm 6 wks 3 days, and I started spotting after s_x 3 days ago. (I was out of town.) Since then, I've had mostly brown blood when I wipe, but today it's a little heavier (small spots on a pad) and a little redder. I have an appointment with my doctor in the morning, since I arrived back in town this afternoon. The nurse in the office told me to stay off my feet, which I have, but I'm still so nervous. Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like my br___ts are not quite as sore as they were. I am a little uncomfortable in my abdomen, not really cramping, but uncomfortable. Basically, I'm going crazy. I have one son, 8 years old. It was my only pregnancy, and I've never tried since. My husband and I are very nervous, and don't know what to think. Any words of wisdom? Encouragement? Anything? Thanks

My best friend had the same thing happen to her , she literally gushed a lot of blood after s_x and it lasted about a week. She now has a gorgeous little girl. She also had a few other scares in her pregnancy, her advice to me was try to stay positive. I hope it all goes well for you and your family, my thoughts are with you.

Thank you for the response, Kylie. Unfortunately, I woke up last night in lots of pain, and bleeding, and I indeed had a miscarriage. I went to the hospital and I just got back. Funny thing is, I should be exhausted, but I'm restless. My husband and I are going to see a grief counselor, at the suggestion of my mom. What's amazing is how many people I have just found out also had a miscarriage. I guess people don't bring it up unless someone else does. I have found out that 2 aunts, and 2 of my friends' mothers had miscarriages amongst healthy pregnancies. This is all very overwhelming. Thank you for your thoughts.

I'm so sorry for your loss.I do know how you feel Misty, it is such an overwhelming sad feeling. I had a miscarriage last October and it was my first pregnancy. I still remember the numbness that descended on me. I also found that people close to me had no idea how to respond to me or what to say. It is amazing though as you said how many people close to us suffer miscarriages without talking about it. I do encourage you to talk about it because I know that without my friends listening and being there for me I wouldn't have coped. Take care and look after yourself.
