Stomach Cramps

I am 5 weeks pregnant and have had cramps off an on since I found out I was pregnant -- is this normal or am I going to have a miscarrage...? I have no bleeding or spotting?

I had cramps around that time. The cramps I would say were like the ones just before i would start my period. If concerned call the dr though.

Hey Cprice. It is very normal to have cramping in the first trimester especially from about 5 to 10 weeks. It's usually due from the uterus stretching. If you have any bleeding following any of the cramping then I would recommend you go to the doctor for sure. I miscarried my first preg and had cramping then bleeding. I am 17 weeks and doing well on this preg, and I had cramping from 5 weeks to almost 10 weeks with no bleeding and all is well. So best of luck to you Take care Lis.

i had a misscariage a month ago and now a month later im preagnant again is it unsafe and why am i getting oca__sional stomach cramps as if i were to be getting my period soon?

you can get occasional cramps just because things are stretching out - i've had them for 4 weeks and they don't appear to be going away. I've heard that the first three months after a miscarriage are Particularly Fertile. No idea why...... My doc says you don't need to wait to try again as long as your miscarriage was under 12 weeks gestation, and that if it's more you should wait a cycle just to be sure you're healed. but your mileage may vary.
