Too Much Fluid In The Sac And Sac Covering Cervix

My sister is in her third trimester and has had the placenta covering the cervix since last trimester. She has had multiple sonograms since then and nothing has changed. This last sono was the first time they decided she needed to go see a specialist and they said there was too much fluid in the sac. What exactly does this mean?

Too much fluid is better than having too little, I have too little fluid so the baby may or may not grow properly. And the only thing I can think of is that your sis will end up w/a C-Section because her placenta is covering the cervix, so if that doesn't change she'll have to get one. Don't worry, by the 3rd trmester, your sis's baby should be fine to give birth.
