A Few Questions

Hello-Thanks for all of your insight and experience! I had a mc at 8 wks, delivered our amazing son 6 wks. early (he's now 4 1/2), had a late miscarriage at 17 wks. Christmas Eve of 2006. After getting all of the bloodwork done that I possibly could, they detected compound heterozygous MTHFR. My fasting homocysteine is normal. Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist said no therapy is needed other than more folic acid, B6 & B12. However, after seeing a hematologist, she recommended starting low molecular weight heparin as soon as I am pregnant. I'm quite confused and wondering if we should even try to get pregnant again. Our son fills us up so much, but I want him to have a sibling. I'm concerned about the risks I've been reading about heparin, and wondering if it's even necessary considering my homocysteine is normal. No causes for miscarriage were detected during autopsy. However, the hematologist said to do the heparin to be safe. Are there less risks with low molecular weight heparin? She didn't actually tell me about any problems associated with it, but I've been reading up on it & I'm worried about the risks. Any advice? Thanks in advance. I ovulate this week, so we really need to make a decision.
