Hi Mrs R, would like to update you on myself. I took 4 pills at a go at about 1.15pm (california time). Within half-an-hour, I pa__sed out very soft stool (like diarrhea) and within 2 hours, blood clots started discharging. I would say, the flow is gradual. Had some cramps as well but tolerable but I did take painkillers after the cytotec, I guess it helps to subside the cramps. At about 6.30pm, I believed I have discharged the sac (a tissue-like lump) and cramp seems to be subsiding, still feeling uncomfortable though. Right now, I am just bleeding like a first-day period but with blood clots (which was similar to my first m/c when I pa__sed out naturally). I kept myself busy baking and watching TV, wanting to be awake to know what's going on. Best of luck to you tomorrow. If you like to email me directly, my email is [email protected]

Hi Mrs R. it's Saturday morning today. I am fine, no cramps though bleeding still there but stabilised. Hope everything goes well with you. Glad to know your hubby will be with you because having someone physically there really helps.

Always forgot to answer your question. Yes, we will try again but will wait after my first period arrives. Read from the medical report that it's best to wait after one cycle to prevent any residue from cytotec.

When I took pills to miscarry they were never described as abortion pills they were always referred to as medical treatment for miscarriage to bring on the contractions similar to being induced in a sort of way. Do they use the same medication for abortion? I felt so awful taking those pills to make my baby come out even tho i knew they were dead with no doubt I felt so guilty. Am I crazy? I didn't want to wait not knowing how long it would take but I felt so horrible to be taking pills that did that. By the way I have had no side effects and they told me there is less chance of infection (tho i don't know why) They said the pills I took just effect your muscles to make you contract so there are no side effects. Of course maybe they're not the same pills but I would have thought they were. They said they used to give them v____ally but now you place them under your tongue and you leave them for half an hour to disolve as they work quicker and it's less obtrusive. They worked quickly on me but it was painful. I don't think I have a high pain threshhold though.Im sorry for your loss I hope the treatment works fast and is over soon. If you are going to be at home make sure someone close to you is with you to hold your hand if you can. im so sorry again this just sucks so much i want to scream

Hi Lucy, I believe we may be talking about the same drug. It did work quickly for me, within hours, the sac was discharged. It's quite unlike my first naturaly m/c where I had to bleed for a week before the sac came out. I took painkillers so the pain was still tolerable. But well...it's definitely a painful experience that I hope no one has to go through........

Im so sorry Cyn. no one should have to go through this as you say. i think what makes it even worse is that the world seems to turn a blind eye towards early pregnancy loss and it is not seen for the very real and horrific loss that it is. People just dont realise. I knew nothing about miscarriage until I had my first. Ignorance is bliss isn't that what the saying is? I hope you get past this and one day soon you'll be holding a baby in your arms.

MRS.R - July 3

Hi Cyn, I made it through. I took them at 10Am i'd say within 2 hours the cramps started coming. Pretty painful. But i haven't really bled alot which i don't think is a good sign.. Maybe a pad full yesterday and today it is like nothing.. I think i should of bled alot more.. What do you think?NO cramps today thank god.. I felt like i was in labor.. I keep forgetting to ask do you have any children or was this your first.. I have a 5 year old son..Anyway i guess now i have to wait until tues. To call Dr. (being the 4th and all.) Now i guess they will want to do the d&E after all this.. Which really sucks.. I was hoping to have this over with this weekend.. Talk to you soon. Take care and Happy 4th!!!

Im glad you guys didn't have a bad experience with the drug. I think I was to far along in my pregnancy for the drug to work like it was supposed too. I had the D&C after cytotec and I felt no pain from it and it was over very quickly.Mrs. R are you going to have to have a D&E now? I wish the best for you.

Mrs R., so glad to hear from you. Did you pa__s out any blood clots and a lump of tissue, the blood clots is supposedly the shedding of the lining and the tissue lump being the sac. I am still bleeding today but no cramps. I too hope I have discharged completely, will have to wait till I go for the follow-up ultrasound. I do not have any children, this is our first year trying and I already have 2 miscarriages in a row, sigh....I just spoke to my mum about the mishap today and we were just crying on the phone (we are living in different countries now). Have a good rest and I hope that everything goes smoothly for you at your doctor's appt. Take care!

MRS.R - July 4

Tara, I hope something gets done this is CRAZY.. I think i am just going to tell the dr. that is what i want... Cyn, yes i did pa__s out blod clots but not a whole lot.. I am starting to have brown discharge today.. I really don't think it did what is was supposed to do..It's not even like a regular period. I am glad you are feeling ok.. This really sucks.. you will have a baby soon enough.. There is nothing like it in the world...It will happen for you!!!! I am going to take a couple months off on ttc i think.. I really don't want to go through this again. Hopefully it won't.. Take care and i will update you after i talk to Dr. tommorow.. Have a good one!!!!

MRS.R - July 4

Cyn, it does help to have a good cry.. Sorry your mom is so far away:(

Tara - July 4

Im so sorry that it might not be over for you. After I had the D&C I felt I could start healing phsically and mentally, everything was over. Its not easy though,I can't even look at my baby items. There is still such a strong feeling of loss. Im feeling much better and I have an appointment tomorrow with a different Ob doctor for a follow-up.After bad experience with cytotec and then having the D&C I didn't want to try again for awhile. Im still waiting for my af, then I think my husband and I will try again.Wait until you feel ready .goodluck

Cyn - July 4

Mrs R., I really hope all goes well with you and hopefully you do not need the D&C. Keep me updated. Tara, did your m/c also occured recently? I was also initially thinking of changing the current gynae for the follow-up because we felt that she isn't that good (though she was highly recommended) but then we thought it may pose more problems for me to see a new gynae, then to get the records from this current one and exlpain the whole situation...blah..blah Anyway, my hubby & I would most probably go for some tests to see if we are alright.

Tara - July 4

I took the abortion pill and pa__sed the baby at home on June 2, 05. I had the D&C on June 3. I switched to the doctor who delivered both my other two children(1cesarean and 1 v____al) and gave me the D&C. My ob was never on call for all three.kind of strange I had the same doctor for all three babies. I just thought it would be easier if I went to the doctor that has been there for me when I needed him. I am trying to recover from the cytotec and hopefully get my af so I can try again. I never would have believed that having a miscarriage could change my life the way it has. I know so many women who have had one and I never realized until now what they were going through.Such a horrible experience has made me a better person.
