Karen - That is one I have not heard of. What is it, what are they testing for?

Hi Jami it is a test for Anticardiolipin antibodies/antiphospholipid antibodies(APA'S). The treatment for positive results inculdes baby aspirin and heparin or lovenox. I already had this test in my local lab. But my RE said sometimes a commercial lab makes mistakes and recommended i have this done. My original results were negative. It's alot of money but we figured why not rule out everything.

I did have the APA's done. It was the second time they had done it, the first time was thru my ob/gyn and they said negative. My REs office sends it to a lab on the east coast called Repromedix. They specialize in infert_tlity testing. This time they came back low negative. They have not explained it any more than that, it could be because I am + for MTHFR I will be in the baby asprin / lovenox already. Good Luck!
