Oh, I am so sorry Prinsa! <MEGA HUGS> You have had 5 miscarriages??? What did the doctor say when you found out you were miscarrying? Did he/she give you a reason? I m/c back in January (26th) and my doctor told me that my hormone levels were low so if I become pregnant again, I may have to take progesterone so I am able to 'hold on' to the baby. She said it was up to me, but since it was my first I think I will wait to take the medicine. I found this on a website: Doctors aren't able to pinpoint the reason for most early miscarriages, but it seems that babies who are abnormal in some way tend to miscarry. At least half of all miscarriages in the first trimester of pregnancy are the result of chromosomal abnormalities that prevent the baby from developing normally. Maternal infections, uncontrolled diabetes, thyroid problems, uterine abnormalities, or the presence of certain antibodies during pregnancy can also cause an early miscarriage. Later miscarriages — after 20 weeks — may be the result of an infection or an abnormality of the uterus or placenta, or of an "incompetent cervix" that is not strong enough to keep the womb tightly closed until the baby is ready to be born. Unfortunately, two of the tests — amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) — used to detect abnormalities in babies can also cause miscarriage. Amniocentesis, generally performed between the 15th and 18th weeks of pregnancy, results in miscarriage for between 0.25 and 0.5 per cent of women. CVS, which is performed at around 12 weeks of pregnancy, may cause miscarriage in between 0.5 and 1 per cent of women. ... hope this helps?

You poor love I am so sorry. I thought 2 was bad enough... AmyF's post seems very sensible to me. I would hope your doctors are arranging/have arranged tests/investigations for you? I heard it's usually after 3 losses that they start to look for definate causes though from personal experience I wish it was after 1! Have you been TTC a long time? I would imagine it's been a while to involve 5 losses. Again I am so very sorry I wish I knew what else to say, but I am praying you will have a healthy baby soon. xxx
