Hi everyone, i want to tell my story and see if anyone has or is going through what i am. I am 39 years of age and fell pregnant at the end of July. I would have been 12 and 1/2 weeks by now. almost two weeks ago my husband and i went to the specialists for our first scan at 11 weeks. i had had a week of brownish spotting but wasn't really concerned. I had scan and was told i had had a missed miscarriage. the baby had died at 7 weeks but you don'y normally find out until you go for your first scan and they can't find a heart beat. Well that was on the Friday and on the sat i started bleeding quite heavy. this went on for a week and a 1/2 until yesterday morning at 4.30 am i flooded the bed with big liver like looking blood clots and loads and loads of blood. I thought ok i had finally miscarried naturally, as they were going to give me a D& C. Yesterday went for a scan ( had the big blood loss that morning) and thought yes its over, only to be told sorry there is still a lot more to come out. I haven't passed the sack yet. I am going for another scan tomorrow to see how its going. We have along weekend this weekend and planned to go away, and i think they want to put me in hospital, i don't want to go. The following weekend my best friend gets married so can't go that weekend.... i just don't know what to do, i am sick of all this bleeding and just want it to stop, so we can start fresh and try again. It was my first pregnancy and as i am 39 time is not on my side. Thanks.

I am very very sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year, but i was not manage to pa__s anything out on my own. I had D&C on Friday and i was able to resume regular activity the next day. The surgery is not hard on the body physically, just mentally exhausting.

I agree with Cynna. The D&C is not to painful and most women have only a small amout of bleeding after. I was fine the next day, just mentally tired and sad. You don't want to wait to long after things start coming out, especially if you have been bleeding that much. You could end up very sick if they don't get everything out. I am sorry for your loss. I had a miss at 12 weeks in April. My baby died at 10 weeks.

I'm sorry Hunny, i know ho you feel, I was only 6 weeks, but my HCG showed 3 weeks, so they are hoping i miscarry naturally, it's horrible i dont want to go to hospital iether to get a D/C it just seems so unfair that your body cant do it on it's own. But seeing as you are losing so much blood I strongly reccomend you go get the D/C done and over with, otheriwse like the girls said you will end up getting an infection and very ill. I am sorry for your loss Hun, I am currently going through a miscarriage myself, and it's not fun. Baby Juice
