Questions About D Amp C

I had a D&C done one week ago. I had a missed miscarriage. Anyway, I didnt bleed very much at all for the first 4 days after the surgery. Then the 4th day I started bleeding more and having cramping. I am using pads (yuck!) and am not bleeding so much as to soak through, but I just wanted to know if this is normal. Does anyone know when the bleeding stops? Thank you!

I am so sorry for your loss. I also had a missed m/c I had a D&C on 12/14. I didn't bleed for 2 days and then it started. It would be heavy and then slow down. It did this a few time. I finally stopped 2 days ago. So the bleeding lasted about 10/11 days.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My doc told me to expect 2 weeks of bleeding, but it may stop sooner. I was still spotting a little after my 2 week check up. I spotted on and off until my first period which was 31 days after the d/c. My cycles were a little off for the three months then normalized. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. One thing I was told, make sure you are not over doing it and lifting too much, etc . I had a D&C in July and was feeling good after.. about a week past it, I went grocery shopping and the carrying of the bags caused me to start bleeding again.

I also had a missed miscarriage and a D&C. I did not bleed (some blood spotting) immediately after, but then didn't bleed for about 2 weeks. And that was just for about three days. First day bright red blood, and then two days of dark staining. What you are experiencing is completely normal. It's hard to say how long the bleeding will last, though. Everyone is different. It shouldn't last too much longer. Maybe a couple more days.

I had a D&C on Friday. I bled in the hospital but once I got home it had stopped. Since that I haven't even spotted or anything. Is is normal not to bleed? Haven't had hardly any pain either. Little bit of a temperature but its still under 100 so we haven't been too worried about that.

I ran a small fever too. . As long as it doesn't go any higher and you don't start to have any weird discharge with an odor, all is well.
