Scared Am I Having A Miscarriage

Something is just not right with this pregnancy. I will be five weeks tomorrow. I have been spotting off and on since implantation, but nothing very heavy. I've seen no clotting, but today I am very crampy. I wouldn't call them severe, just uncomfortable. The bloodflow however is still very light. My question is, would this cramping precede or coincide with heavier blood flow? Your honest feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Kris, try to relax, I know it is easier said than done. I can only tell you what my experience was, I m/c on 3/27...we had seen the heartbeat 3 days earlier and said our chances were lessened b/c of that. I was 6.5 weeks pg and spotted for a week and half before I m/c. My spotting was only on toilet paper after going to the bathroom when i wiped. Then on the day I m/c'd the spotting got darker brown and then I had clots come out in the toilet which was dark/bright red. my doctor did tell me that some women just spot or bleed their whole pregnancies and that nothing is wrong and not to worry unless you pa__s clots, or have bleeding that is red and fills a pad within an hour. Try to rest, have you called your doctor to share your concerns? have you had a u/s done yet? my doctor suggested I have one when my spotting lasted longer than 2 days-I would call and see if you can get in to have one, they can see any cause of bleeding in there too as well as check the baby! please keep me posted, but call and see if you can get in!

Staci, thanks so very much for telling me what went on with you. My spotting is the same. Not on my pantyliner, just on paper when I wipe. I actually was at the hospital yesterday for an ultrasound. I have had a tubal pregnancy that ruptured very early so they watch me carefully as I only have one tube left. They did the utltrasound, but found nothing. My HCG is still very low at 179 as of yesterday. It is on the low end, but still on track as far as "normal" range. Doc said it is still just too early to see anything. The waiting is just so horrible. I have another blood test tomorrow, so I will know if it is good or not on Wednesday. I need at least a 300 or so. Anything higher than 179, but still low is not good, b/c that could mean another tubal. Lower is bad of course, but better than a tubal! I am trying to take it easy, but very hard with a 2 year old. My husband is great though. It is harder with him away at work.

kris, I am so sorry that you had to have a tubal pg before. are your symptoms the same? were they able to see a sac or anything in the u/s? stay positive, please let me know what you find out from the doctor. thinking of you!

Symptoms are very similar. Last time they saw the embryo in my left tube. Thankfully there was no heartbeat yet (too early) That would have been completely devastating to terminate even though you KNOW there is no chance for survival. This time there was not even a sac, but the doc was not surprised. He actually did not expect to see a sac as implantation was not that long ago (most likely on the 20th of april. Thanks so much for your kind words Staci. I will keep you posted

kris, the waiting is agony isnt it? I wish that we could be blissfully pg and have no worries. I see my friends who are pg and maybe think about m/c but dont have any real fears, and are so happily pg. its been 5 weeks today since my D&C and I am pg again...scared. I dont know how far along I am, the hcg tests last week confirmed the pg but until I have this baby I dont think I will be "secure" with the pg. we saw the heartbeat last time and were rea__sured everything was fine, but obviously it wasnt/ we dont have our u/s for 2 more weeks to find out how far along we are, it ia killing me to wait. I am praying for you and wish you all the best! thinking of you!

Staci, we truly value your prayers. We haven't told family, so it's a double edged sword. They don't have to worry, but at the same time, they don't know to pray for us. Thanks so much!
