woke up this morning with (Sorry this is kind of graphic, but i am scared now) with a big glob of mucousy discharge on the t.p. and it was tinged pink. Someon thought it might be because I had s_x the night before. Pregnancy tests are negatvie but I think i am so at this point i would be about 4 or 5 weeks pregnant. Is this normal? Also, i have been having white, stretchy, mucous-like discharge for the last week or so. Does all of this sound normal, especially the big glob of it. Thanks for any help! I did have s_x the night before, someone said that is what it might be from

Ca__sie - the main thing is has this thing stop already? If it is not like the normal bleeding, then u should really have nothing to worry about. What your friend said is true. One of the reasons spotting or light bleeding during pregnancy is caused when there is an increase in the blood supply to the cervix or the area, especially after s_x, a Pap smear or an internal exam. If u r still worried, u can always contact your doctor. :) good luck!

hyde--thanks for responding, it has stopped and i have not had s_x since then. i was just more concerned that there was so much of it, it was a big glob and it was tinged pink. but i will just wait and call my doc to be sure, thank you

if it has already stopped, there is nothing to worry about. this kind of spotting is quite normal really. Spotting of this kind may be of reddish, brown or even light pink. Don't worry, u r quite fine.

Not to be a downer, but if you're getting neg. prego tests, you may not be prego at all. Lots of white (clear-ish) mucus that's stretchy can be a sign of impending ovulation, or of an infection. Ovulation occasionally releases a little blood (as can implantation of a fertilized egg in the lining of the uterus) and could cause pink tinged mucus. So, if the mucus is very stretchy, like egg whites, you may *want* to have s_x, as this will be your fertile time.

Also, the *big glob* may have just been residual seminal discharge, depending on the forms of protection used etc.
