Stephanie - April 12

Aloha, my name is Stephanie and I am married and a junior in college in Hawaii. My husband and I are excited about getting pregnant and have been trying without contraceptives for 4 months. I am usually on a 26-28 day cycle. I am now one week late and have taken a urine test (EPT) which showed negative. I had a blood test today and the result was also negative. The nurse suggested I try a blood test again in a week (indicating that I am not far enough along for 100% accuracy). I am scheduled to leave the country for Cambodia in 3 weeks (a college-sponsored study abroad program) and if I am pregant I will cancel the trip because of health hazards in a 3rd-world country like Cambodia. I have read many forums and seen that there are many women in situations similar to mine. It's comforting, but many of them do not follow up to announce whether or not they ultimatley found out that they were pregnant or not. I have had some changes in my body - no morning sickness, but some nausea, loss of appet_te, decrease in usual s_x drive, extremely tired all day, and very severe mood swings that are driving my husband crazy! Could someone who has been in my situation and LATER FOUND OUT that they were/were not pregnant please respond or e-mail me - [email protected] I would really appreciate any advice, comments or stories from women who have had similar scenarios as myself. Thank you so much ladies! -Stephanie
