19 Weeks Nasal Bone Quot Not Occified Quot Or Showing In Ultrasoun

I was not clear in my question previously. I had an ultrasound at 19 weeks and the Dr. says our boy is missing the nasal bone that is normally checked for in the first trimester. Another doctor verified it there at 12 weeks, but now a different one says it does not exist. I had an amnio and AFP and both were normal. Has anyone had an experience with this?

I think you should have the ultrasound test done again if the results are unclear. It can only help the situation. Then, if the second ultrasound shows its absent, its time to start asking what that means for the baby. Best of luck.

I agree you should have a second opinion. How can a nasal bone dissapear from week 12. If your amnio came back normal then that would be a good sign.
