I just had my 20 wk ultrasound, they found 2 small cysts in babies brain. The Dr said it's normal and should go away, I have another ultrasound in 2 wks to see if their gone. Anyone had this before, I'm very nervous.

Hi Steph, I don't want to scare you but I had a friend that had that and it can be a marker for Downs, but she went back after 6 weeks and they were gone and the baby was fine, so most likely it's just a few cysts! But you might want to ask him about it, because it feels that sometimes these doctors with hold info.

I hope everything is OK, I found out that my baby has a cyst on it's liver at my 20 week ultrasound, they are doing an ultrasound every 5 weeks, just to keep an eye on it, they said that there was no blood running through it, so that is a good sign, I am just praying that everything will be OK. I will say a prayer for you, and keep us updated.

I agree with your doctor. I have heard of so many people having these cysts and after a week or more the dissapear. Are they sending you to a level 2 u/s for any other markers?

I read about that in one of my pregnancy books. As I recall, it's usually nothing to worry about and goes away on its own.
