I had a boy and I put on 80 pounds, I hate to see what I would have topped out at if that study is correct!!!

Amy, thanks for sharing. I had a boy and ate everything in site. I am skinny to begin with (blessed with a high metabolism) and only gained 24 pounds. I am now 27 weeks pregnant with my second and don't really have an appet_te. I am trying to eat and gain weight (I have only gained 9 pounds so far). Um.. I think I am having a girl but we aren't finding out so everyone will have to wait to February. BUT I have heard that most women are hungrier with a boy than girl.

hmmm - November 21

Just found out I'm having a boy, and I'm 18 & 1/2 weeks along & have only put on 2 or 3 lbs, but I DO have a ravenous appet_te & can't understand why I haven't put on at least 10 lbs by this point. I was only nauseous until week 12. Thanks for the fun facts.

Hey, maybe Im having a boy, because weight gain is slow...and Im eating like crazy! MMM! And thank goodness, because I always wake up on my back, and I cant live without my dr. pepper.

AL - November 21

I heard that women carrying boys tend to burn 10% more calories then when carrying girls.

mich - November 22

maybe thats why i havent put on much weight yet either. I dont know what I am having but at my last Dr appt @ 20 weeks i hadnt put on any weight at all! maybe its a sign. also the only position i cant sleep in is on my left side so its good to know it wont actually do any damage. i can sleep on my back or right side or still even my tummy if i am careful but not my left side at all!! very interesting!

Who's parading these as facts? Enfamil? Hmm....

Heather - January 3

Enfamil is not the only one to make this claim, I havent completly given up caffiene, I have a small cup in the morning - anything under 300 miligrams a day is ok!

Joanne - January 4

Well, I'm almost 25 weeks and have gained 23 pounds and am having a boy - looks like I'm gaining weight to me!

KLC - January 5

My first two children were boys and I gained @25 pounds both timess....after they were born the weight just fell right off I never had to work out or anything....then came my daughter I gained close to 50 pounds and was still carrying 20 of it when we got pregnant this time...We are having another boy so I am hoping I lose the weight without the effort this time too(although I am getting older!!!)

neat - January 5

That is really neat. With my oldest son I gained 10 pounds. He came out over 9 pounds. With my next two boys, I gained 11 pounds each. Now I have gained 10 pounds and I am only 16 weeks. Maybe this is a girl. :)

Mama3 - January 5
