Anterior Placenta

My question is, What does this mean? Are there problems that come with having one located there? Where is it suppose to be? I feel stupid, I have 2 lc but then has a mscg in Dec and now I feel like I am a first time mom again...I never had to deal with all the issues with them that I am dealing with now.

Your placenta is supposed to be located on the upper part of your uterus (away from the cervix) I have a complete previa (which is directly over the cervix) Yours is low lying and over the cervix as well, but not as bad as mine. I had my ultrasound done at 15 weeks so it's too early to tell. Most likely mine will migrate up where it should be. How many weeks are you?

Forgot to add the worse case scenario is that you may need a C-section if the placenta doesn't migrate up.

Hi Dani...I turned 18 wks today. On the report it says the position and then it says "does not extend to the lower uterine segment"??? My Ob is on vacation for 2 wks so I have to ask one of the nurses and hope they know
