Anyone Play Classical Music

I went and got a classical music CD from the library today because I heard it is good for the baby, even while still in the tummy. I was curious as to if anyone else did this? I am 17 weeks pregnant.

I am doing this currently and I am 22 weeks. I don't do it every day but I probably play it about 5 days a week for an hour or so. My friend did it and her baby loves to go to sleep to cla__sical music now. If nothing else, it helps to keep me relaxed when I play it in my car since I drive about 200 miles a day for my job. Enjoy!

I bought the little speakers for my belly-I attach my discman-and pop in a mozart cd-they say nothing is proven with making your baby smarter-but I still think it help. They always say its important to talk to your baby-so I think music is just as important.

I was thinking of playing some cla__sical and jazz for the baby. I was just going to use a CD player and put the headphones on my belly.

I would say that if you are going to play music especially for your baby, that cla__sical is the best choice. Why? Because it is the most complex and the pieces (notes) fit together in such an intricate puzzle. The only proven thing about cla__sical music and smarts, is that when students listened to mozart right before a test, they did better than those who did not. The music only had a temporary effect though. I still opt for cla__sical though because the music was written (in my opinion) by geniuses.
