have any of you already started to dilate yet? I am not due until April 25 and already dilated to 1 cm

Wow, I don't think so. How do you know? Did your dr. tell you that on the last visit? I am due April 26, but it's been at least 3 months since I have been examined. Maybe the dr. will do an exam during the next visit. You've got me curious now...

Hi...I am due April 8, 2006..this is our 4th baby. To answer your question, do you have any other children? I ask because I am 1-2 cm dilated but I was that way with babies 2 and 3 as well. I know that sounds scary but my OBGYN basically said it is because of my previous births that my cervix never fully closed up. Did your doctor advice any course of action...bedrest etc.?

I am due April 11 and I dont think I am dialated, I didnt think at this stage in the game we had to worry about dialation, but maybe that is a misconception?

No this is my first baby, and yes I went to the doctor yesterday and she checked me. I am a little nervous about it, but she is sending me to a special doctor.

yes she put me on bedrest until I see this other doctor on the 6th she said I may have to get stiches on my cervix

KLC - December 30

wow, my doctor put me on restricted activity for the rest of my pregnancy...I am still working but from home now so just sitting!!!! No stairs, No lifting(not even my cute little daughter!!!) No driving and no penetration....I am also on what they call cervix watch which basically means I go to the doctor once a week to make sure I haven't dilated anymore....Hopefully if I follow instructions (never been my strong suit) I won't need anything else done....Good luck to you and keep us posted.
