Asthma

Hi, Ladies! I was wondering if anyone else experienced worsened asthma symptoms during pregnancy. With my first, my mostly dormant asthma returned with a a furry. I was put on Singulair to help control it. After I delivered it got even worse, but eventually better with meds. Now, with this pregnancy, my asthma is terrible again even on the Singulair. Anyone else struggle with this too???

hiya, i have asthma too although its really mild, but I do need to take my inhaler more now, I think alot of pregnant ladies suffer from breathlessness so perhaps this makes asthma sufferers more weezy etc, you should go back to docs if its really bad, perhaps they can suggest something else which can help - Goodluck

I have allergies that used to cause sneezing every once in a while. I'd take OTC meds and be fine. But when I got pregnant it got so much worse. So bad that I got put on two different inhalers because I was wheezing like mad and couldn't breath. (one is Sblbutamol -- something I think they use for athsma?) I got better around the end of my second trimester and could stop using both inhalers. Now (6 weeks post partum) it's back again. Hopefully once these hormones finish clearing themselves out of my body I'll be back to normal. They say about 1/3 notice no difference to allergies/athsma. 1/3 get better. 1/3 get worse. :( Hang in there. Keep working with your doctor and hopefully you can work something out so you're comfortable
