Cervical Cancer And Pregnancy

2 days ago I was diagnosed with cervical cancer after an abnormal pap and biopsy that was done at the beginning of my pregnancy. I'm 13 weeks. My doctor wouldn't give me much information, but I'm seeing an oncologist on the 26th. Have any of you had cervical cancer treatment during pregnancy and had a healthy pregnancy?

First off- what terrible news. I'm sure you were totally surprised. WOW! this is really a sad post. But anyway i have not experienced it myself... but i did have a cousin who recently had b___st cancer and had a baby and while she was pregnant had to do the chemo treatments and everything else, so in that aspect i just wanted to say you're baby is going to be safe.. you on the other hand will probably feel so tired and weak... I really feel for you as i have had a mom with ovarian cancer. And she went through alot. It is not going to be easy but i do think you can make it through okay!

Sorry to hear that Tootsie5c :( My heart goes out to you. However, I don't think you will need chemo. I thought what they did was remove the cancerous part of the cervix. . . obviously they cant do that during pregnancy. I think you are in great hands. Your doc's know what they are doing ok? Try not to stress too much, you will get through this k?
