I am currently 25 weeks and I have already gained about 35 lbs. I am not even eating that much ( I mean I am holding back somewhat, I could be doing more damage) ha ha

I am 18 weeks and have gained ~ 8 lbs. I think that is too little right?

Boomgirl - October 28

It depends on your pre pregnancy wt. I am over weight and I am 21 weeks now and I have gained only 3 pounds. But my gynec says its ok as the baby is growing properly. But from now on have to gain weight gradually at least 15 #. Its important only after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

I am 18 weeks and have gained about 10 lbs.

I am happy to say three of those pounds I gained were from this week alone. Ha ha. I have been such a pig!

I am currently 22 weeks and have gained 12 pounds. Glad to see I'm normal and not gaining too quickly. It's so depressing getting on the scale at the doctors office.

Im almost 15 weeks (14wks 5 days) and have gained 4-5lbs depending on the time of day. I dont have a scale at home. Your doctor should have accessed you at your first OB appointment by your pre-preg. weight, height and stature for appox. how much weight would be healthy for you to gain. Im 5'6.5" and pre preg. 125lbs. I gained 33lbs with DS but was also 5-7lbs heavier pre-preg starting at 130-132ish. He weighed 8lbs 11oz and by the time I left the hospital (besides my hips being stretched still) I had lost all but 5lbs. I had a pamplet that showed how much everything in your body weighed that contributed to weight gain but cannot find it. I beleive it said water weight 3lbs, baby 7lbs, placenta 5lbs Here is a calculator I found for weight gain estimation. According to it I should be 3-7lbs heavier then I am now. Average weight gain is 25-35lbs Overweight person 15-25lbs Underweight person 28-40lbs

I've added 16lbs to my 5'5" frame in 24weeks. Before I was pregnant, I never fluctuated up or down in weight by more than 2lbs, it's so weird carrying the extra now. My BMI was at 19 for my pre-pregnancy weight so I guess I'm not to off the scale. My BMI is still at 22 and I have to hit 26 for it to be unhealthy but, that's for a women who ISN'T pregnant so I figure I'm okay.

I am 25 weeks pregnant and have gained 25 lbs. My doctor makes it seem like I'm the most overweight person in the world. I don't think 25 lbs is too much for almost 6 and a half months. I don't eat unhealthy but he makes it seem like I'm eating a gallon of ice cream a day. I'm glad others are gaining just as much weight as I am.

Christine - November 1

I am a little over 16 weeks and have only gained about 3 pounds. This is my third child, I'm small framed, and I'm pretty sure I should have gained a little bit more weight than that. Everything seems to be going ok now though.

I am almost 25 weeks pregnant and have gained 20 pounds. My nurse was very inconsiderate on the day my husband was w/me and she said, do you want me to bring your husband back here so he can see your weight ha-ha !! I wanted to kick her 5'0 100lb body across the room !

Cat - November 3

I am 15 weeks and have gained about 8-9 lbs i think. I am 5'9 and was a size 8 when I got pregnant. it seems primarily just in my stomach and b___sts but is that too much?

Jess - November 4

I am 23 wks and at my last appt (21 1/2 wks) I gained a total of 5 lbs. The doctor said it was fine because I was overweight when it all began. She only wants me to gain 15-25lbs total. I did lose weight in the beginning. Just don't really have an appet_te, but when I do eat, I try to eat on the healthy side.

Sapphire - November 15

I'm 25 weeks and have gained 27 pounds! I couldn't believe it when she told me. I was so depressed! I had gone on a diet right before I got pregnant and had lost twenty pounds, so I guess I gained all those pounds back and then some.

Jenny L - November 15

I'm almost 20 weeks and I am fluctuating up and down the same 3 pounds. I eat 6 small meals a day (every 3 hours) to keep my blood sugar stable. I think that is what is helping me not to gain too much weight too quickly.
