Hey linzee. I just wanted to let you know that I'm in the same boat. My husband is being shipped out to Iraq for a year next month...our baby is due Oct 2nd, so he will for sure miss the birth. This is our first and I'm scared to death to do this without him, but somehow I'll manage. I'm not even around my family...I live in Hawaii and they live in Washington state. I just keep reminding myself that tons of women have had to stuggle with their husbands being deployed and giving birth....good luck to us both!!

hey ladies, i am dealing with a similar situation. my husband is currently gone right now and wont be back until mid august. thankfully, i am not due until october but it sucks that he is missing all the fun stuff. fathers day, the baby moving...i put the phone up to my belly and let him talk to the baby! crazy, right?! hang in there, that is the life of a military wife.

hey girls, I'm sorry to hear that your hubby's will be gone for the birth of your precious little baby's birth's. Mine was deployed the first 3 months of my pregnancy, but I can not begin to say I understand what you are feeling right now. I know its easier said than done, but speaking from experience and as a fellow military wife, please know you aren't alone and if at all possible try and stay strong for your new baby and for your hubby's. I can't imagine how difficult it is for them to know they will miss the birth of their new baby's. Perhaps you can have the birth tapped for them, take lots of pictures in your last few months of your pregnancy and do lots of things so they won't feel like the completely missed out? Know that you have a large military family standing behind you and who is always there to support you. From one military wife to another, God bless you and be with you and your family. Take care and stand as strong as you can.

Hey ladies!!!! I'm also a former Marine wife and I know its one of the hardest jobs around. Please know that our prayers are with you. Stay strong and keep your heads up. We are here if you need to talk. Maybe we should request a military thread...?

hey guys my dh left last friday, and even though he's only been gone a week or so i'm missing him like crazy already! i dont know how im going to deal with him being gone only 4 1/2 months, and i have no idea how you guys are dealing with them being gone for a whole year. the good news is that we found out where he will be stationed in november, and it is a non deployable marine station, so im thanking god for that. and im hoping to be moved up there in time for cayden to get here so i can have everything set up. i love being a military wife! lol

Hi all! I am sorry your husbands will be gone during your pregnancy. Mine is not military but he was gone on a job while I was pregnant for my son. It was super hard. He did miss alot. I kept a calendar so I could keep track of every day. Wish you all the very best!!!
