I am now 18 1/2 weeks pregnant and I am kind of worried about getting too excited about this because I don't want it to end like the other pregnancy eventhough I've heard the baby like 4 times. Anyone else experience anything similar?

I am now 25 weeks pregnant. I too miscarried twice b4 this pregnancy both times i went for the 12 week scan and there was no heartbeat. When I first got pregnant this time I was so nervous at times it may have seemed i was being over the top, but as every week pa__ses i become a little less nervous and now i only have 15 weeks to go and i am starting to really look forward to it. I would say you are bound to be a bit on the edge about this pregnancy but getting as far as you have got is a big step and i am sure everything is going to be fine

I'm 16 weeks and had a m/c at 5 weeks the beginning of the year. I'm still very paranoid! I think hunee's right every week that goes by is a relief! I'm sure our babies will be fine! Good luck!!

I had a miscarriage in early April and am now 20.3 weeks pregnant. It is very stressful and I worry all the time. As the weeks pa__s, it does get easier, especially after having the big ultrasound and once you feel the baby move. Surround yourself by people who understand and who will listen to you.

After carrying your babies past the first trimester (12 weeks, or so) your chances of miscarrying decrease substantionally... Most micarriages in the first trimester are due to gene defects in the fetus, and can't be helped at all. Since you all are well within your second trimesters, breathe a sigh of relief, and enjoy this time. Remember that if you are stressed out, your baby is feeling it, too... Go do something to pamper yourselves and help you relax. I had my husband give me a foot and leg ma__sage... it was great!!! :)

thank you all for your rea__surance. I am going to the doc on tues to hopefully find out the s_x of the baby and I asked my b/f to go and he doesn't want to go because when he did go was the last pregnancy at my 12 week check and no heartbeat and he doesn't want to go through what he did before. it sounds selfish to me but he is very hard headed. I don't really know what to do and I think that is why I'm still a little nervous about this pregnancy.

Kendall: I have a 5 year old, and this past May, I lost my second child at 9 1/2 wks, no fetal pole at 7wks, I got preg again in July and I am now on my 13th week.. And I feel the same way.. I don't want to get too excited, but this one is already going so well.. So keep you chin up, losing one doesn't mean you'll lose them all.

Hi kendall, I had a m/c at 10 weeks in early April and got pregnant 10 weeks later with no period in between. I am now 19 1/2 weeks and things have been hairy (I just turned 35) but it had nothing to do with the m/c. I was scared to death in the begining too and to top that off I started spotting at exactly 10weeks, it was like my worse fears coming true. But all my scans have been good and the baby has a strong heart beat and all looks good. You have made it past the critical point and it should be smooth sailing from here on in. Lots of luck to you and your healthy little girl:)

thanks again the thing that is the most scary is that i didn't even know i had m/c i was supposed to be 12 1/2 weeks but the baby only made it to 10 1/2 weeks no heartbeat. so i think that the only way i'm gonna know if i lost this baby is if i don't feel her move any more she moves so much mostly at night she's moving a lot right now and i think she likes loud music

Petra - October 6

Kendall, hang in there! I had 2 m/c and am now just over 14wks and things look fine so far. Once you've gotten past 12-14wks and things look okay in there, the chance of m/c is teensy weensy. We can't help but worry but don't forget to take a deep breath and enjoy your pregnancy, too!
