Wow, I feel like I am the only one who isn't going to find out the s_x of my baby! It definately complicates things but its our family tradition and i love the mystery of it. Who is or isn't gonna find out what they are having???

I always really wanted to find out, but my baby didn't want to cooperate with me, so now I'm kind of excited about not knowing, if I get another opportunity I don't know if I would want to know, I've allready made it this far, what's another 3 months of not knowing? Besides yellow and white clothing and a nursery that probably will turn out to be the opposite of what I'm having.....

We aren't going to find out. My husband wants to be surprised. We both think its a boy, but my family and friends all say girl. Up until last week I would of agreed with them.

We found out. Its also a tradition in my family to not so I guess I am just a rebel. I like the *idea* of not finding out but I couldn't imagine waiting until birth. I wanted to buy stuff and set up the nursery. Although I did pick out the bedding set before I knew for sure. I just new it was a boy though....and I was right.

Hi, I'm due feb 22nd with my first I do not want to know what the gender of the baby is even though hubby and his family are dying to know. I had an u/s at 14 weeks and she told hubby it was a little too early to tell anyway. She said that they go by what the mom wants so I was lucky she supported my decision. I don't think I'll get another u/s because everything is going well which helps my decision more. Hubby wants to find out for the next kid and I'm hoping that things will go the same way then as they are now that way I won't have to find out. I love the surprise of not knowing and as long as the baby is healthy what does the gender matter!!!

My first child we did not find out and everyone was disappointed because they wanted to know! Now with my second pregnancy we originally wanted to find out to prepare my 3 year old daughter for a brother or sister. But after looking back and remembering in the labor room how my husband saw first that it was a girl and the look of his eyes when he put his hands up and shouted to me "ITS A GIRL" that is a moment that we will remember for the rest of our lives and no doctor or ultersound can ever compare to that excitment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I definitely want to find out the s_x of my baby. It makes it easier for my friends to shop for my baby shower.

I’m 27 weeks, and we’ve had 4 u/s and we could have found out at least 2 of them. I was a little apprehensive about not finding out, but now I’m excited. I take polls with people who ask. 98% say boy. I say we’ll find out in January. As far as the nursery is concerned, it was difficult/ challenging selecting a theme, but not impossible. We painted the room a mint/sage green and decided on Alphabet soup theme (Animals and the alphabet). I was initially against NOT finding out, but I’m happy I didn’t.

We found out at 19 wks that we're having a baby BOY!

My husband and I have always agreed that we would not find out the s_x of the baby. To us that is part of the fun...when the dr. delivers and says, "it's a ____!!!" We are looking forward to that moment.

Definitely, definitely want to know!! Wouldn't have it any other way. I don't want to think of my baby as just 'It' for months and months. It's like getting to know a little bit more about him/her, which is sooo exciting!! Besides, at birth my biggest moment was my baby, what it looked like, what it felt like, it was really overwhelming, at that point, the gender really was only a side issue. I marveled at this little person I was holding, not its s_x.

ry, isn't is amazing how many people ask? Lol. My family is fine not knowing - I have 3 little brothers that are simply amazed by the whole idea that their big sis is prego - but dh has two big sisters that found out asap. So we are driving his family crazy by waiting!!! Lol, I love it! We are using a midwife and hopefully my husband can catch the baby, announce if it's a boy/girl, and cut the cord. They told us in birth cla__s that occasionally they have a dad that wants to catch the baby. I didn't think anything about it but dh thought about it three weeks before he told me, "You know, I want to help you, but I think that would be incredible". We want more kids and sometimes it is hard to wait but I don't want to think it's a boy and find out its a girl or vice versa. Actually, I call the baby a "he" alot b/c I have the feeling it's a boy, but I would love to have a little girl, so it's all good! :)
