I am 14 weeks and I haven’t taken any vitamins. Is it good or bad? I always forget to take it. I am so sick right now that I have fever and cold.

You should be taking prenatal vitamins, didn't your doctor tell you to?? It is really important, there are a lot of things your baby needs that are not abundant in the food you eat.

Yeah, it's a good idea to start taking them now, especially during the transition of the placenta taking over, which is just about to occur for you. Don't worry about what you've missed, just start taking them now. If you forget a day, that's ok, just take them when you remember. Keep them out in the open so you remember. Maybe on the coffee table in front of the TV or something. If you're feeling sick to your stomach still, take them every other day. Support your baby - take vitamins!

KP, you should be taking a prenatal vitamin. Ask your doctor to give you his or her recommendation on one that has a sufficient amount of folic acid. You need that folic acid for the spinal cord development of your baby. Good Luck getting over the fever and cold, call your doctor if you haven't already.

Thank you all... I want to take it but I always forget and then I fell badly. As you all suggested I would make sure I will have open some where so I don't forget.

Try to put them by your bed and take one every night before you go to sleep. I have not forgotten mine once and I started mine while I was ttc. Vitamins are most important in the first trimester but are still important throughout so it's best to start with one today.
