preggers with number 2 - November 5

I am in my second trimester with baby #2 and have felt nothing. I have an 18 month old little boy who loves to pounce on mommy and press his feet into my belly while sleeping. I guess my crazy question is ......Is it possible for him to hurt the baby and can sleeping on your stomach hurt your baby??? Since i haven't felt anything with this baby I am a little worried that something is wrong. I go to the dr in 2weeks but am worried they will not find a heartbeat anymore. I never felt this way with my first one.

Hi! Congratulations. How far along are you? I wouldn't worry too much about not feeling the baby yet, lots of women don't until they are around 20 weeks. I also have a little boy about the age of yours--he's 20 months. Makes life interesting doesn't it!? Don't worry about the pokes you get from your lo. They baby is extremely well protected--I was once told by a doc that it will take something life threatening to the mother for the baby to be hurt on the outside like that. And if you have the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting" there is a question in there somewhere where a woman tripped and fell on a concrete curb right on her pregnant belly. The answers goes on to say how well protected the baby is, and is very rea__suring. Same goes for sleeping on your tummy--as long as you're still comfortable it is fine.

I was also concerned about this. i have a 7 month old who isn't walking but is jumping like crazy, and she loves to jump on us. I dont think she will understand that she is going to have a sibling, but i keep telling her to "stop jumping on the baby" and not to mention my bladder too!!!
