Is It Normal To Not Want Sex

I'm 25 years old, and having my first child. I'm about 7 or 8 weeks pregnant and the last thing on my mind is s_x. I feel sick most of the time, and tired and really just am not in the mood. Most of the time I don't want to even kiss him more than a few pecks because I know he will get turned on then try. Hell, there are even times I don't want him to touch me. He is very excited about the pregnancy and so am I but for gods sakes does he have to hold me every minute he is home now? Or sit near me, or hold my hand. He doesn't seem to understand that I don't feel well, or that I'm tired. He just takes it personally. I have no idea what to do about it. Help?

OMG! I'm so happy someone else is going thru this too, with my first baby I swear, I wanted it every night and he started to get mad about it, now I'm 6 months pregnant with my second and I'm never in the mood. I haven't quite figured out how to approach it though.

Yes it's very normal. Some women don't feel like s_x at all during a pregnancy. However many start feeling more in the mood once they hit the 2nd trimester --this often decreases again when you get near the 3rd tri as you start to be very uncomfortable and such. As far as your dh (b/f) goes it is important that he respects the fact that you don't feel well but it is also important that you don't make him feel neglected s_xually too --he's a guy after all and men do need some s_xual relief from time to time :) --- So, try to at lest help him out manually sometimes. Explain that you don't feel well enough for s_x but that you're willing to help him out. Hopefully you can kind of compromise on the issue. Good luck.

Haha!!! I have almost no desire for s_x and I'm in the supposed "lusty" trimester being 16w. I think that I'm just nervous about something happening, I don't know. I'm glad that I'm not the only one though. A girl I know and her dh didn't have s_x for the last 6 months of her pregnancy b/c she had no desire for it! Poor guy!
