Viv it's Steph again, I posted once before and you told me to wait till after the election to try a hpt so i was going to take one this weekend, but then this morning i started bleeding. i was devestated when I woke up this morning and was bleeding, but the thing is, I still feel like I could be pregnant -- especially last night I was having the most sever symptoms, really bad burping and nausea and then today nausea again, I still feel like I could be, but now I am so confused and don't know what to do. I am still bleeding, but it just started this morning. Should I still be able to have my hopes up and just watch the bleeding and see what happens. Should I just forget it unless I notice any other obvious symptoms?? I just don't know what to think, I have never been pregnant, this would be our first and I was feeling so right about the whole thing and feeling like I knew my body so well to know what was REALLY going on. The last time I got my period was between the 20-29 of Sept and I had a one time one day brownish spot on my undies (kinda creamy -- sorry) so I was for sure that it was implantation, but now I don't know. I am just so devastated. I really would love to have a child with my husband. We have so much love to give a little one and really thought that this was it. Please let me know what you think -- anyone else in the same boat or had anything similar, I would love to advice!! :) Thanks!

If you in fact are pregnant and the bleeding does not stop this is a sign of miscarriage. I suggest you speak to your doctor ASAP.

Steph, wait until the bleeding is good and stopped and then take the test anyway, especially if you still have symptoms. About 25% of all women have bleeding at period time in the first trimester, and carry to term anyway. The docs call it "threatened miscarriage" but they really don't understand what is going on. I still have good hopes for you, but if your body decides this was not the right egg to work with, let it be. Once you have a clinical pregnancy (past the first trimester), then the doc will be wanting to work with you to prevent miscarriage. God bless!

Thank you so much for your input -- I think I am just going to take it as it comes, if it doesn't happen now, it's just not the right time! Thanks for your support and prayers. :)
