Hi Ladies. This is my first real 2ww. It's horrible. Are there any reliable indicators, has anyone actually noticed cp change if pg or not during 2ww, can we somehow figure anything out sooner, or is it $tree tests daily (on 2nd test 7dpo, and yes, I know that was way too soon but did it anyway.... rational is all gone now) and/or wait for af?

nurs2b24 - February 22

I'm here with ya! I want to know so bad! I have a feeling that I am because I just feel very weird..not like normal....but I'm only 9dpo and I test today and it was neg. i guess I just have to wait for AF.

Remember ladies, the more you stress and obsess, the less likely the embryo (if there is one) is to implant successfully. Try to distract yourselves (I know easier said than done) but honestly. If you are in the process of getting pregnant the WORST thing you can do is stress and worry so much. :) sososleepy, there really isn't much to look for as in every woman and every pregnancy cp, cp, temps and everything can change at the drop of a hat. Also, testing early will bring uncessary stress as even small amounts of stress release certain hormones that can prevent pregnancy (hence the notion that stress is bad for ttc) So just TRY and relax. I know I know, its hard!!! BUT GOOD LUCK AND MAY YOU BOTH SURVIVE YOUR 2WW WITHOUT GOING INSANE !!! ***BABYDUST****

cp and cm I meant

nurs2b24 - February 23

Hey! I just wanted to update you on myself....this morning when I woke up I had some pinkish looking discharge...SOOO I HOPE that was implantation bleeding!! I called the doctor and she said to still wait to take a test. Anything new with you?

stefkay - February 23

hey! just wandering over here and saw your post. I always hated the tww, but when it ends it is kind of a downer because the first two weeks is soooooo long and boring :-) so I am a drifter until AF comes because I know she is almost heerrrreee....

Daynae79 - February 23

I have officially entered the 2WW wait w/ you girls!! OPK's showed I O'd 2/21 and 2/22.....so, the wait is on!! Baby dust to us all!!

sososleepy - February 23

Hi nurs2b24. Nope, you still could be... hang in there! Like they say, it ain’t over till the red lady drips (gross, sorry, couldn’t help it). Krissy, this is my first O and 2ww after mc. Stress!!!? Um, yeah, lots of it. I’m trying to relax, breathe in, breathe out… too late; pa__sed insanity a few weeks ago, but I’m hoping to get over it someday lol. Nurs2b24, I hope, I hope!! Hey Stefkay, looks like we’re wandering together. We do keep running into each other. Thanks, my blog on the loss page really would be a blog if you weren’t chatting with me there. Any chance you’re into b___terfly gardens? Daynae79, welcome to the wait. I’m chasing that dust with you. Update: 8dpo, no significant temp shift either way, hpt negative, crampy, bloated (today), and emotional like she’s coming… great… add pms to the 2ww… there’s a good joke or two to be made from that- anyone care to figure it out (with all the spare time we have easing up on the bd post O) and tell it so we can laugh?

sososleepy - February 23

Krissy2006, couldn't resist.. just checked cm/cp. What the heck? Had dh check last night, and he said definately damp (I'm a KY soon to order preseed kind of person unfortunately) and looked somewhat shocked. Well, today it's (tmi, sorry) downright juicy. Could it be???? But I also REALLY feel like af is coming, so... still waiting.....

sososleepy - February 23

I ought to change my name to "grasping straws". I know better, I just can't seem to stop right now.

nurs2b24 - February 23

Hi Sososleepy......it could be...it could be...yay....fingers crossed and a lot of praying...

nurs2b24 - February 24

Hey sososleepy...its me yet again! Any thing new with you?? Let me know....I have been having very light brown discharge now...AF isn't suppose to come until Tuesday so I'm not real sure what is going on. I started cramping again just a couple hours ago and then I had the brown stuff...so any thoughts?? Let me know about you!

LIN - February 24

Cp means absolutely nothing after ovulation. Don't try to interpret it - it will only drive you mad. Unfortunately, there is no sure fire way to know. That's why it's called the two week wait - because you have no choice but to wait. I disagree 100% with Krissy about stress preventing pregnancy. There is no evidence of that. It can certainly postpone ovulation, but there's no reason to think it can inhibit pregnancy.

sososleepy - February 24

Nurs2b, thanks for the hope. Nothing new. Im hoping for you too! My period often starts with a little brown, so, um... it could also be nothing so keep hoping!!!!! Lin, thanks (I think) for the ansewer. Ok, really thanks. I'm all ready mad, so I don't think I can drive much further down that road. I've hit the dead end. I don't WANT to wait. I can all ready hear ppl laughing, go ahead... some part of me is laughing too, but the rest is foot stomping 2yr old temper tantrem frustrated! Nope, no choice. Rots! GURR. K, enough there, sorry. Nah, I'm either pg or not, and in a few days or less or more I'll know. Heck, I can't even figure out WHEN I'll know. LOL. Today was better.. I got out and actually all most forgot about it at a local ren fest. First time I've gone, great distraction (except the little ones, which in costume were actually so cute I told dh, "Honey, it's ok, I have one of those on special order, but it might take a while." Kudoz to me I didn't cry at all. He gave me a great big hug, which helped lots. So, stress is loads better than yesterday or the day before, I'm totally frustrated, and I might wait till tomorrow to pee on another one, and I might not (thank you Stefkay and $tree for the choice!) Guess that means I can stop checking cm daily... so what do I do with the rest of the ph test strips (not that they changed since I got them lol....) Thanks again, big hugs all, and hang in there with me. 9dpo, no symptoms today, temp lingering steady, just WAITING, all hpt's neg of course so far.........

sososleepy - February 24

Hummmm... power of suggestion? Gotta stop this!!!! 9:23 pm Sat, negative.

sososleepy - February 24

Patience all gone!!!!!! Need clues tomorrow.. Temp PLEASE SPIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

krissy2006 - February 25

LIN, here is an articule that explains how STRESS CAN play a part . . . (I didn't say cut out the stress and you'll get pregnant. I said stress wasn't good for potential pregnancy or pregnancy in general) . . . .Stress in women disrupts the hormonal communication between the brain, the pituitary, and the ovary, interfering with both the maturation of an egg and the ovulation process. When we are under stress, we experience several neurochemical changes. This can alter the ordered release of hormones that regulate the maturation and release of an egg. IN addition to this, the concentrations of several important chemical messengers involved in reproduction change when our emotional states change. There is a direct link between the brain and the reproductive tract. Nerve fibers connect the brain directly to both the fallopian tubes and the uterus. The autonomic nervous system influence the ovary's ability to produce healthy eggs and hormones. For example, when a woman is under stress, spasms occur in both the fallopian tubes and the uterus, which can interfere with movement and implantation of a fertilized egg. Thus the stress can affect infertility both by the altered regulation of pituitary hormones and from the abnormal nervous-system influences on the ovaries and fallopian tubes. In case of man, both physical and emotional stress are known to affect the fertility. Sperm counts, motility, and structure are altered under stress. Problems such as impotence and difficulties with ejaculation are often caused by the emotional distress in men.
