A New Weird Symptom What Do You Think

Well, yesterday I had some hot flashes and muscle twitching, but I have had that before. Today I have a huge pain in my upper back - under my right shoulder blade. I thought is was like a bad gas pain this morning, but it is much worse now. Every time I breath in, it feels like something's going to snap. I work at a school so I went to the school nurse this morning, and she said that she thinks it might be a pinched nerve. She gave me some tylennol but it's not really helping. Anyone have anything likt this? Any muscle pains or pinched nerves as a PG symptom? Could it be?

I Hope! Never heard of it before, but a first for everything, right???

thanks Megs. I am thinking it really has nothing to do with pregnancy. Maybe I just pulled a muscle somehow! I just hope it goes away!! It hurts!!

DaBonkElsMe - Yeah I hope it is a pg symptom. But I have never heard of anything like this before. GL

Yes!! I had all sorts of weird back and muscle pains! I thought it was flu making my muscles hurt & giving me backache! Hope its your bfp, like it was mine! :c )

jeanette - that's promising. I mean it really hurts though. I actually came home from work because every time I breath in, it shoots a pain through my back. I have never had anything like this before. A PG sign or not, i hope it doesn't last long.

Mine was completely gone in 2 days. Take care of yourself, take some tylenol and lean back on a heating pad...or have DH rub your back for you! Hope you feel better soon darlin. My Doc says pregnancy releases hormones like 'relaxin' & as a result lots of muscles to begin to soften, relax and stretch, and it may be easier to pull a muscle....even if it isnt a preg symptom, take care of your back! Dr. Jeanette prescribes rest for you today...LOL!

thanks jeanette - I am resting. In fact going to take a hot bath in a minute. I can't find our heating pad, so I figure a bath should help until DH gets home and can rub my back, or find that heating pad for me - or both LOL!! Thanks

hey dabonk! i had bad neck/shoulder pain when i got my bfp and also like Jeanette i thought it was the flu. however i posted about it and someone told me that could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.....so i just wanted to pa__s on that info......don't want it to scare you because i didn't let it scare me. i HOPE it is a sign of a BFP to come.

hey jessicaspatherapist - thanks for the info - i usually don't let that stuff scare me but it is good info to have. I am not a big worrier unti I know there is something to worry about. I figure what will be - will be - I can't change it by worrying! I have a suspition that motherhood will make me a worrier though because i constantly worry about my neices and nephews! Anyway if it is a PG sign, then i think it might be like jeanette said, my muscle was "soft" or "streching" which made it easy to pull or hurt. I did carry the vaccuum up the stairs with one hand yesterday, but it's not that heavy and I have done that before. I am now thinking that could have caused a pull, especially if i am more suseptable to pulls right now! I hope that's it!! I am actually going to the walk-in clinic in a few minutes b/c it's not getting any better and i have to figure out if I can make it through a day of work tomorrow!!!
