Im having a c___ppy weekend.....i have a sinus infection and ofcourse the drs have been closed the last three days. It really sucks! IT HURTS! On top of that I have been wiping gooing yellowish snotty type CM and paranoid that its my mucous plug already. I called the OB on call and she wants me to come in and get checked, but I dont' want to because im afraid its for no reason and my insurance hasn't been the best at picking up the bills. They always seem to have some weird category that needs to have my deductible met first...sighhhh. my stupid cardiologist bill was $1350! I am waiting to see how much of that they will cover! Em when did you loose your mucous plug with mary? You haven't lost yours with this one yet have you?

Morning everyone! It has been hot here. I finally convinced DH that it is summer time (finnaly) and I am too hot to sleep without the air on! After working all day in it on Saturday, he beleived me and finnaly turned it on. It isn't just hot, but so muggy too! Welcome to IL in the summer. I once visited San Antonio TX in July and eveyone I met commented on how hot I must be since I am from IL. Well see the thing is that it was 95 but we also get 95. The 95 in TX seemed so much cooler cause it wasn't a humid heat like it is in IL. THe humidity knocks you off your feet, it makes it really hard to breath sometimes.....where as the dry heat, well it is so much eaiser to breath! but they didn't beilve me. Ash my DH planeted the garden in early to mid May. I dont' remember exactly. He had some of his stuff planeted befroe you said you had yours in, but he didn't start anything inside except his beans....Everything else he just planted outside as seeds. He turned the sprinklers on it for a while one night and then forgot to turn them off. The garden was a bit muddy the next morning. But I think the mosture did it good. He just has to keep the rabits from eating his sweet corn! I lost my mucus plug with Mary on a Thursday evening. Fir morning I started with irregular cramps and Sat morninng I started with consistant cramps (at 3 am, so I didn't get back to sleep) They continued all day saurday getting stronger but never any closer than 15 minutes. so we went to hospital on Sat night when the pain got so bad I couldn't move during one, much less speak. I had Mary Sunday night around 9 pm. So form tursday around 4-5 pm to Saturday at 3am when real labor started to Sunday night around 9 when I had her. I think I have dropped this time. I dont' get heartburn anymore and can breathe better at least going up the stairs and I have to pee evey 20 minutes. I feel like I did when I was fist pregnant except that I am huge now! I started to pack my hospital bag the last part of April. A bit early, but I packed things I knew I would need then, but not until then, like prepregnancy clothes for the ride home,. pjs, old undies, some pads, some toleitries, some extra socks, some cash (for dh to use to eat on while I am in the hospital and for him to bring me some real food after I deliver.) I just need to ada few things now to be complete. I need to add a change of clothes for him, the camera with extra bateries and memory sticks, the cell phone charger, (forgot that one til just now!) and a book for me to read. I am in the middle of one right now (3 nights in August-its a baseball book about a Cards - Cub series a coupel of years ago foromt he perspective of the Cardinals manager) I need to find one to pack. as I will be done with that one soon. anyway I guess I should get it finishe packed since the doc told me anytime after June 3rd would be okay for delivery. I feel I am gfetting close, but then I feel so far sometimes too. I guess I hope to know more after my appointment tomorrow. Well gotta run, well check in later....hope everyone had a great memorial day (for those of you who celebrate it...) we had a good one, swam at my moms and had a cook out and then took a boat ride with Dh mom and step dad and had a cookout ont he beach. Long day, but fun. well gotta run

hey all......Em its is beautiful out right now, go figure. Rain/cold all memorial day weekend and now that its over and the week has started its sunny and warm...sigghhhhh. Well should be a good day for my garden and gra__s to grow as we got so much moisture. Well I called my OB office and the nurse said it didn't sound like my mucous plug rather an infection. So who's right the Dr I talked to yesterday or the nurse?

Emily - May 30

that is a tuff one, may have to bite the bullet and go in to see someone. Good luck! It was hot here all weekend. It went from being 40 to being 90 this past week. No in between weather! oh well. The gra__s in our yard and the garden looks good too. We had a tree taken down last fall and it left our yard a mess, so we tilled it up and replanted it. The gra__s is really started to fill in, it looks good! well gotta run. hope everyone is haveing a great day. Hope ashb surgery went well. Cant' wait to hear from her to see how she is feeling and how the little one is......still praying for you dear!

Hi ladies, I just wanted to check in and say hi as I'm about to go for my level ii u/s to check if the cord is ok and not affecting the growth of my baby. I am a little nervous right now and also trying not to go to the restroom as I'm full to the brim with water...lol! I'll let you all know how it goes when I get back. Ashley - definitely go to the drs to get checked out if you think you've got an infection.

amyn - May 30

Hello ladies.. Everyone have a lovely weekend? DH and I went to Babies'R'Us to register I had a lot of fun, but I think DH was rather bored, poor guy. We also bought Jack's crib and dresser online at JCPenny's, its a convertable crib. Jack has been kicking me more, still rather light and I can only feel it when I'm sitting down and really feel it when I'm lying down so I guess he is getting bigger. DH is leaving tonight to go to Vegas for work for a trip, blah, oh well perhaps a week away from eachother will be a good break. Ashley I'd go to the doctor if you have a sinus infection I'll bet you have a some sort of v____al one too. Well talk to you later

ashley - May 30

Hey guys... I hope ashb checks in soon. Well went to the drs today...... got a pelvic exam and they checked for dilation, etc. She said my cervix was about 2 inches long (so not thinning) and still closed.. THANK GOD. They did the fetal fibrinectin test and it was negative, so I am 98% that I wont go into labor in the next two weeks. No infection either.. Bubs is wayyyy lodged in my pelvis that they could hardly check me. She said the head was right there, he he. She figures that is what is dislodging my mucous plug as I have no signs of labor as of yet... She also thinks I have a bug too. Oh well. Things will get better. Hope every one is doing well. TTYL

Well good and bad news from the scan. There is an issue with the cord but it looks like it's not affecting the baby's growth as she was measuring a week and a half ahead of schedule. I was quite shocked at how large she was as my fundal height is measuring behind so my belly is still fairly small. We also saw her drinking the amniotic fluid and putting her hand into her mouth - it was so cute. Anyway at this rate of growth I'm heading for a 9 pound baby so I'm hoping her growth slows down a little...lol! Amy - I had lots of fun in babies'r'us too but dh was bored out of his head after a short while. I've been checking my registry ahead of my shower on Saturday and it looks like people are using it so that will help us alot as we've so much to buy yet. Well I've gone on enough. Hope everyone is doing ok. Ashley - are you feeling any better yet? Ashb - hope all is well with you and your baby.

Justine - May 30

Ashley - looks like we were posting at the same time there. glad you don't have an infection and that there's no sign of early labour.

ashley - May 31

Justine-what did they say about the scan as far as the cord goes? Are they going to do anything more about it? I wish I could get another scan done. I saw mine breifly at my cardilogist appointment when they did my echo, but it wasn't very clear. It wasn't the right kind of probe thing. How is every one else this morning? It frosted and ofcourse we didn't check the temp before sunrise, we got a call about 6:30 from FIL so dh went and turned the sprinklers on... Gardens are so frustrating. I need to go out and weed, before those little pesky tiny sprouting weeds get big. I did imbetween the rows with DH the other night and I sprinkled some weed preventer between the rows, but we didn't get to close to the actual crop. I wanted to wait to make sure everything was up so I didn't pick the wrong things...lol. Well Im going back to bed for an hour. My friend is coming over later to help me with the baby's room...hope every one is good. Can't wait to hear from AshB hope everything went well!

Emily - May 31

I too am wondering how ashb is doing. Justine, so gald to hear baby is growing okay. Did they mention what the issue is witht hte cord and if they will do anything about it? Will they check it often to make sure everything continues to go well? I go in today for an u/s and internal. I am getting really nervous. I have a lot of things I still want to get done before baby and I have this feeling she will be early, just hoping not too early. Like anytime after June 11 is okay......anyway hope everyone else is good. Amyn, glad you had fun. I get the dh being bored thing. Mine didn't do most of that sruff with me. He did some of the regisering but I did most of it. Honestly I had more fun without him cause I wan't worried about him getting bored. Well anyway hope all is well with everyone else. I will check in tomorrow to let you know how my appointment this afternoon goes.....if I dont' check in before that...

Dawn - May 31

Justine-So glad to hear that your littleone is growing ok. I have another scan scheduled for a week today at 9.40am to check the growth of my baby becuase I had a kidney infection for two weeks the consultant just wants to check the baby over. I'm a little nervous about the scan and dh is away all next week so I have to go to the hospital by myself. Emily-Good luck with your appointment today. Ashley-I have always wanted to have my own veg garden but our garden is far to small and it just seems so much hard work from what you have been saying, so I think I will leave it for a while. We get some home growen veg from my dh's bestfriend's mum and they taste so good compared to the store bought veg. Well i'm 31 weeks and 2 days today and I'm getting a little bored now with being pregnant, I just feel like I have been pregnant for a long time and want my little baby now, but I know she is not ready yet so not much longer to wait. Justine-have you had your baby shower yet?

Emily - May 31

hey Dawn, I remember the feeling bored with pregancy thing. I had that with Mary. I thought I was going to be pregnant forever! hee, hee. I am not so ready this time. I guess we have too much going on the next several weeks. My mom will be out of town (not in the state actually, she will in KY and TN. We live in teh belly of IL) from June 2-6th and I can't have the baby while she is gone, and tehn we have pans the weekend of June 10-11th. After that I will be ready I think.....well gotta get ready to go. Wish me luck!

Justine - May 31

Hi ladies. At the week 18 scan, the u/s suggested that the cord only had 1artery rather than 2 (a normal cord has 1 vein and 2 arteries). This can be a marker for a host of abnormalities which we then had to check the baby for. Happily she had no other problems and the scan we had yesterday confirmed that again although she definitely only has 1 artery in the cord. The other problem is that it can cause growth restriction but again the scan showed that she was growing just fine. I'll chat to my dr about it all next week but the specialist yesterday said that everthing looked great and that they shouldn't need to see me again. It has been very worrying but I've tried not to focus on it and it looks like the baby is doing great. Emily - good luck with your scan today. Dawn - my baby shower is this Saturday and I have to admit I keep peeking at my online registry to see what's been bought. Ashley - hope your garden survived the frost after all your hard work. I've got my L&D cla__s again tonight and finally dh is here too so he'll be attending for the first time... just in time to watch the videos on childbirth. He's not to thrilled about that...lol! Well, I'm off to lunch, speak later.

ashley - May 31

hey ladies....Justine I hear that the baby can have one artery and one vein and be completely fine. From the sounds of it, your babe is more than just fine, he he. I am measuring at 34 weeks now as of yesterday and I didn't gain any weight this last week! YEAH! I have another appointment this next monday. So we'll see if I continue to slow down on the weight gain! Amy-dh wants to be involved with everything, sigghhhh I wish he'd just let me go buy what ever. I think that is why i never did a registry... He might of tried to dictate what we really needed for this baby and didn't lol. He thinks the diaper genie is a complete waste of money and it just SMELLS horrid. ha ha. My garden seems to be A-OK! thank goodness. It got to 78. I love nice weather. I went into town with MIL and visited a friend while she had an appointment, and then we ate lunch, went to the mall and then to walmart. Im tired now. Dawn-I actually enjoy having my garden. I just get ticked pretty easy because of the stupid animals. I knew I risked having frost planting so early, but our growing season is so short that you have to risk it. BUt fresh corn and peas and beans, mmmmmm. I also planted watermelon, tomatoes, onions, canteloupe, cuc_mbers, radishes, carrots and herbs. It gives me something to do and look foward to. I love summer. Em- I think any time after July 5 is safe to have my babe.. I too have a feeling im going to go early as he is already head down and dropped low in the pelvis!!! I feel so much pressure and cramping. Im just getting attacked by stretch marks this time around and am sick about it. I didn't get any with DD and this one Im gaining a lot of weight and my stomach looks horrid. I might beg dh for a tummy tuck to cut out these stretch marks by the time I am done having kids....lol But i'd just be trading scars for another...sighhhh. Its depressing though. any body else getting any stretch marks? Em did you get any with your first? I wanted to cry when i looked in the store mirror today. oh well what can i do right?
