Hello ladies - Just thought I'd check in to see if Em may have checked in also. I don't think it's the peanuts that are causing everything. Today dh made BBQ pork steaks for supper today and about two hours later I had a bad stomach ache. After dealing with the pain for an hour I went up to the bathroom and it was all diarrhea (sorry, tmi). Afterwards my stomach still hurt but I haven't had to run up to the bathroom. Another thing I've noticed is that I've had a breakout of acne, nothing huge but in a matter of just a few days I had three pimples appear on my chin! That is so not like my skin to do that, I hardly ever get pimples and I haven't been hitting any candy or sweets more than usual. In fact I have had one candy bar in the past month...that was it and that's surely not enough to cause pimples to show up just like that. Dh has to be at the hospital just about all day Monday, I'm still not sure if I want to go with him or not. If I do I'll be waiting and waiting, if I stay home I can clean up around here and pack some more. I thought that maybe I'd go with him tomorrow and I'll mention the lack of af on the way up there...and then maybe while he's doing his thing I could go and talk to a Dr. if they have an opening. Dh asked me before if I'd want to see a dr. in my hometown or at the hosp. he goes to. After thinking about it I'm thinking of going to the one he's going to....just for the simple fact that I won't have to worry about anyone seeing me in the waiting room for the OB/Gyn. When I say 'someone' I'm talking about my relatives, just about all my cousins go there and the OB/GYN isn't that far from the main entrance. I'd rather go where there is no chance at all of a relative seeing me. News like that travels like wildfire in my family. When my cousin Kim was seen in the waiting room, before everyone knew she was preg., it spread through the family in one day! And then a couple days later it was verified that she was pregnant. I don't want that to happen to me, I'd rather it be more private. Anyway, I've rambled enough and this stomach ache is making me want to just curl up. I'll check in later, hoping to hear from Em soon.

okay, okay I am here, and well still very pregnant. Marcy has dropped alot though. last week I could feel her little b___t ont eh top right side and now when I feel it, it is lower, more in the middle. My sil kept telling everyone yesterday, "she's dropped." We spent yesterday at a fundraising event for Ducks Unlimited and she was telling everyone, even people I didn't know. I am sure they really cared! She also kept calling Dan (my dh) all weekend to see how I was. She is the one that camped out at our house and in my hospital room while I was in labor with Mary. When it was time to push, they kicked her out, but hse stood in the hall outside my room until one nurse had to practically drag her back to the waiting room. My mil came over and helped me clean teh house Sat. All that resulted in was a really bad backache. She kept trying to have me sit and I was not going to let her clean my house and just sit and watch. That wouldn't have been very nice. Plus the doc said to keep active as that would helpt to speed things up when I did go into labor. Well I am still not in labor though! I have been having the cramping on and off and the discharge, just like Ashley discribed has tappered off somewhat. It isn't as globby now. Just kinda like little smears now. I am jsut ready now. funny how things can change. When the doc told me awhile ago that I was close, I was freaking out and now I am wondering what his idea of close is! Well gotta run. Carie great ot hear form you and hope you get o feeling better and talk to a cdoc girl, I would be going nuts. Good luck this time Michelle. And Amyn, the worrying about the baby doesn't get any better, if it isn't one thing, its another........I am still worrying about Marcy.........Justine hope you get to feeling like being up and around again soon too....and Ash don't over do he digging thing again! take it easy. Hope Dawn, Elisabeth, Kristen, and AshB are all doing okay and all those I missed. Gotta run.

Morning everyone. boy i'm starting to break out. I usually one do that when af comes around. and i think i'm still 1-2 weeks away from it. so hmmm. Ne way I'm wondering if em went into labor over the weekend. she usually checks in by now. well hope everyone is doing well. Carrie, sounds like maybe your preggers or your still having some problems. I would suggest finding an ob asap and go in and get checked out. I can't believe you still haven't gone it. I can't remember, have you told dh yet???

michelle - June 12

Ok so i guess that i was posting the same time as em. glad you haven't had marcy yet :) on my part. still hoping you wait 13 more days and have her on my bday. but that kinda bites for you. actually its not as bad as it used to be on the fact of seeing and hearing about ppl that are preg. i think the worst is when my sis told me she was preg. i just wanted to cry, i just figured i would have a baby before her cause i was married and she wasnt', but then again it is the milenium (sp) but its better now.

After reading some posts on the tri trimester thread I am on, I am not so discouraged anymore. Still impatient and still feel like it will never happen, but feeling a bit better. With Mary I lost my mucus plug on a Thursday night. Friday morning I was having sporadic cramping and Saturday I woke up at 3am having contractions every fifteen minutes. By Sunday at 9 pm, Mary was born. After reading some of the other ladies posts, some woman lost their plug up to two weeks before the baby was born. So I am not going crazy, but still a bit impatient. I have another doctor's appointment on Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully he will tell me then I am farther than the 1 and a half cm from last week......and Michelle it will happen one of these days. I know it is hard. When dh and I started trying for Mary, it seems like everyone but me was pregnant. But I suppose it is like that with a lot of things. When we got engaged, I started to notice that eveyone was engages, like the girl that checked me out at walmart or the the lady in line in front of me, and then when we bought the Impala, I noticed them all over the road. Same for when we traded it in for the Trailblazer. Of course when we were trying to get pregnant it was a littel worse cause we weren't even pregnatn yet when I started noticing everyone was pregnant. Well anyway I will let you all go agian, Just hang in there Michelle. I will be doing the same thing, trying to wait unitl Marcy decides the time is right.

ashley - June 12

Carrie- you said you'd clean and pack up some more?? what are you packing for? Are you guys moving?

ashley - June 12

Em-yes i read that too about the mucous plug thing. I must be slowly loosing mine, HOWEVER i did read that the mucous plug can some what replenish itself in the early stages. The funny thing is my MIL swears I have droped and yes I feel like I dropped, but they say second plus pregnancies you don't drop. So what is up with that? Ask your doc for me, as I tried and I was not understanding her answer, nor do I think she understood my question though I tried to rephrase different ways. Infact I know this baby is lower because when I sit here at the desk my belly is on my lap. Heck I could even feel little one kicking my leg! lol. I have such pressure in my pelvic region and now having spasms down there right about where they measure from when they measure your fundal height. My next appointment isn't until June 22, which I think is a thursday. Its still a week and 3 days away. They are going to check and I hope that im making so small progress, even if Im 20% effaced and barely a fingertip dialated (being i'll only be 35 weeks) I will at least know my body is starting and im not going crazy with the way I have been feeling. The nesting instinct is in full force! I've had all these hairbrain ideas and wanting to do all sorts of projects, lol. Well dh is not happy but I am going 200 miles to Idaho Falls to meet my mother. MIL is coming with (oh freaking joy, but the only way dh would "let" me go) My mom is driving 800 miles and I am driving 200 how fair is that. Mom is going to take my daughter for a while. From the sounds of it until July! I am not sure how long. She plans on until after the baby is born and then she'll bring her back. wow!

Emily - June 12

Ashley, I have never heard that you don't drop with second pregnacies, just that you drop later than with the first ones. I will ask my doc tomorrow. I am hoping that he will check me and say, hey you are dilated more, want to head to the hospital? Ha, ha, wishful thinking, but hey! I am noticing that while no more globby stuff that my undies are really wet. (TMI) I am concerned, is it possible to be leaking amniotic fluid without having any real labor pains. All I am getting are those little twinges and cramps that feel like I could start af any time, you know. Nothing earth shattering yet. So I might call the doc this afternoon to see what they think... I leaked with Mary and didn't really notice anything but wet undies until later in the hospital I could feel it trickle down my leg a bit, but this was all after I had been having contractions all day. I guess I am jsut very impatient now. Ash good luck on your trip, jsut remember to stop and pee and strech alot. 200 miles isn't too bad. I am not sure why your dh would ahve a problem with it when your mil is also going, as long as doc hasn't advised against any trips. Well gotta go, will check in tomorrow if nothing doing. If something is doing, I will try to get on the computer at home and let you all know.....

Just popping in to see whether there was any baby action for Emily but I guess we're still waiting. Emily - let us know the moment you can when Marcy makes her move - I'm so excited for you. I've just had a mega-clean of the house downstairs (even scrubbing skirting boards!) but can't manage the upstairs now as I've got backache so I guess I'm nesting too. Ashley - have a nice trip. Emma definitely hasn't dropped yet as she's still playing footsie with my ribs...lol! Michelle & Carrie - fingers xxx for both of you that there will be good news coming your way soon.

hey gals.. some quick questions.. Did any one have a sensitive belly b___ton around 23 weeks?? mine is really tender to the right of it.. Also did anyone who has a desk job start to have problems with sitting for 8 hours a day? I get up once an hour to move around and take a walk but my tummy is still really sore from sitting and my b___t too. I really don't want to have to reduce my hours, but I'm thinking I'll have to, anyone else have that problem?

michelle - June 12

sorry to vent. but i'm having an awful day at work. I cant stand it anymore. I think tonight i'm going to sit down w/dh and tell him that i really want to look for a new job. even if i had to take a paycut as i work 45 min from home and as it is now costing me 240.00 a month just to drive 2 and from work. i just have a bad att_tude now and it sucks. but i'm truly not happy w/my job. aauuhhh. sorry everyone but once in awhile u just got to do it.

amyn - June 12

I hear ya Michelle. I can't stand my job either, but I can't quit, we need the money.. Being pregnant makes it worse, people just get on my last nerve.. Hope you can find another job

ashley - June 12

em-all my preg books say that most second + timers drop during labor and only first timeres usually drop before... It was in what to expect when you are expecting and my ob nursing book. The doc kept saying something about gravity, blah blah but I never got a straight answer out of her.. Irritating. Because even though I can still feel this one kicking at my ribs every now and again, I feel him LOOOOOW and can feel his head and fingers at my pubic bone and I k nokw he is low down there as my belly rests on my lap and you can just see by looking at me that he has dropped. (or that I am carrying low.) Carrie-hows that diarrhea.. You know when I was pregnant with DD and some with this one I got diarrhea a lot! perhaps its either a stomach bug or maybe some one is pregnant? you def should go see an OB... SOOOOOOOOON for all of our sanity ,lol. Michelle, 240 dollars? Then you can afford the pay cut by that much right? to work near home? Wouldn't have the gas bill. that is about a 1.50 an hour you are using up in gas.. So find a job that pays that much less or not find but you could swing it.....no? Justine... my nesting instinct comes and goes its funny. one minute I want to do everything the next I just want to sleep... funny. Justine its time you posted another pic of your belly. EM YOU TOO. we have yet to see apic of yours!!!! Em-in the what to expect book its page 335 under prelabor symptoms..... i'll quote it. " Lightening and engagement. Usually somewhere between two and four weeks before the onset of labor for first time mothers, the fetus begins to descend into the pelivs (see page 321). This milestone is rarely reached in second or later births until labor is about to commence. Okay page 321..... Dropping, also called lightening, occurs when the fetus descends int othe pelvis cavity. Lightening is a sign that the presenting part, usually the head, is engaged in the upper portion of the bony pelvis. In FIRST pregnancies, this generally takes place two to four weeks before delivery. In woman who have had children previously, it rarely occurs until they go into labor. Often, lightening is quite apparent. You might note that your belly seems to be lower and tilted farther foward (thats me so whats up with that?)

michelle - June 12

yeah i know what u mean. i make 16.93 per hour now and i think even if i make a pay cut to like 10-11 dollars an hour i'll still be making out about the same as the taxes that are taken out. yeah i fill up my car twice a week each time its about 30.00 each time as gas here is 2.93 a gallon. and of course my work doesnt do cost of living. wtf? oh ne way i was going to say. my friend here at work isn't due until end of july and this is her 2nd and she has dropped over the weekend. she looks like she could pop anyday as her belly is huge. she is hoping to go early just so she doesn't have to put up w/work anymore. LOL. at least she has something to look forward too.

Justine - June 12

Hi ladies. Well I've just got back from yet another trip to the drs and it looks like I might be developing pre-eclampsia. Over the weekend a blood vessel burst in my eye and I've just been to see an eye doctor and he thinks it was due to fluctuating blood pressure. I've got lots of bruises and get lightheaded and dizzy alot. My blood pressure was taken at the drs and it was up again so at the moment it is just all over the place. The dr hasn't put me on bed rest but has basically stopped me from doing anything or going out in the heat. I am a little worried over this so I'm hoping it settles down and doesn't develop into pre-eclampsia otherwise I'll probably need to have my baby delivered early. MIchelle - sorry to hear about your work issues, I hope you're able to find something else. I'm off for a lie down now so I'll check back later.

ashley - June 12

Justine- when you say your blood pressure was up, what was it exactly? I know they really start to worry if your bottom number gets to high, not so much your top number. I know they'll want to induce early if your bottom number was higher than 100. Watch your salt intake thats for sure. If your doc hasn't put you on any restrictions like bed rest or admitted you, you are probably still okay so try not to freak. We are nearing the end!!! If worse comes to worse you have your baby sooner than later, but we are getting to the point where are babies are almost mature! 3 more weeks and we are considered TERM! Amyn-sorry never had a desk job, can't really comment on that. I know after 30 minutes at the computer just getting up hurts lol. My b___t is always so sore. But being on your feet constantly is just as bad... it sucks i know. Try to put a pillow under your b___t or something. Or get a really cushy chair and make sure you stretch a lot.
