Emily - the l&d cla__s last night on medication was scary but very informative. i'm really leaning away from an epidural but i guess it's difficult to know until the big show gets on the road and the pain kicks in. i'm sure my dh will be very happy to hear about your's and ashley's a__sessment of bd to kick start labour as the poor guy has been somewhat deprived as of late...lol! well i've got a fairly quiet day ahead of me today so i'm going to chill and read some of the birth stories on the 3rd trimester board. hope everyone is doing well and that ashb is recovering well from her surgery.

Emily- I'm sending you happy wishes, hopefully you'll be holding your little girl in your arms soon. I'm 18 weeks behind you give or take a few. haa haa. take care

ashley - June 8

amyn-are you feeling little jack move more now?

amyn - June 8

Ashley- yes he has his moments where he moves alot, but I still can't feel him when I'm standing up.

Justine - June 8

Well I've had abit of a stressful day today. After saying that I've been feeling really good I suddenly felt very bad with nausea, dizziness and pains down the right side of my belly. I had to go to the er and basically it seems my blood pressure is somewhat erratic right now and I was also registering contractions although they were not consistent or strong. I had my cervix checked and it was hard and soft so it seems I'm not in premature labour which I was afraid of. I'm now under strict instruction to take it easy for awhile and I'll probably get checked again next week. The baby has been happily kicking her way through all of this so thankfully all seems well with her. Phew, this pregnancy business sure is stressful and scary at times. Anyway I'm going to take a nap now so I'll speak to you all tomorrow. Take care.

Justine - June 8

That should read that the cervix was hard and closed not hard and soft which would be pretty interesting. On that note, the exam was more uncomfortable than I thought it would be and I bled afterwards although that seems to have stopped now. Right I'm really going this time. TTYL.

ashley - June 8

Gee justine, what was your blood pressure today? I felt c___ppy today too. I started getting a lower back ache and was having braxton hicks every 7 minutes for TWO hours and then I got diarrhea. Scared me, but every thing seems to have subsided now. I still feel "stretched" around the middle of my belly and its uncomfortable to stand for any length of time. When they checked me at 32 weeks she said my cervix was "for all intesive purposes" (what ever that means) closed and about 2 inches long. Im going to guess that means hard? I've been having a lot of braxton hicks a lot more frequently now and more crampy menstral type cramps and more mucousy discharge, sorry TMI guys....... yes as you say pregnancy is so unpredictable. The scary thing for me was I laid down and the braxton hicks were coming that close together! Every time I moved suddenly or got up they came again. Im still getting quite a lot this eve, but nothing really close together. Maybe every half hour or so. Em how are you doing? Amyn-speaking of movements I had a dream that I was spotting and was going to go to the ER but I felt little bubs moving so I thought it was okay, I woke up and my little one really was moving.. ha ha. Carrie where are you??????? Dawn how are you doing? Justine where is your weight gain at these days... Oh I took a pic of my belly today. will post it on Yahoo as soon as I submit this....

Dawn - June 9

Hi guys. Justine-That must have been pretty scary, hope your feeling better now and at lest your baby is ok. Ashley-I'm doing ok thanks, I seem to be getting alot more of the braxton hicks these days as well. I find I mostly get them if I go for a walk, lie on my back and if I'm active and don't rest for a bit I end up getting loads close together as if to say slow down. I did something bad yesterday, When I told my dad I was pregnant he said he didn't want to know the s_x of the baby until it was born, he wanted it to be a surprise. Well my big mouth let it slip yesterday when I was talking to my dad on the phone, I was telling him about what the consultant had said when I went for my scan, instead of saying to my dad "the baby is small" i said "she is small" oops then my dad said "you just let it slip then didn't you" I was hoping he hadn't been listening to me like my dh. Oh c___p I feel awful now, after all these months of knowing and not saying a word to my dad and then the last leg of the pregnancy I tell him.

well ladies, I think this is it, or at least the start of it. I think I may be losing my plug. It isn't always tinged with blood is it? With Mary mine was but now I am having discharge that is like that but it is clear or yellowish, but no blood tinged. With Mary it had a redish or brownish tint to it. This time it is just clear and sticky and slimy and globby. Sorry tmi. Also I have been having more cramps. Still not regualr by any means, but more of them. They are present when I am at rest and get worse when I am up moving around. So they change when I change activities but do not go away with the change of activity. THey say if they go away when you change your position or activity, they are BH, but these do not go away completely, just get more or less intense. Still mainly just a dull ache though as I could start my period any minute kinda feeling. What do you al think? I am hoping for a trip to the hospital this weekend....Justine, scary business and I think it would be kinda strange to be both hard and soft......Ash my bh got pretty bad sometimes and I thought oh no we will making a trip to the hospital soon, but htey always subsided. I have also been having a lot of bm lately also. Mostly getting softer stool but not really soft yet. So I am also hoping that is a good sign. I remember getting some of that when I lost my plug with Mary. Funny I have been through this once already and I am so unsure of what is going on now. My mom saw my dh before I did yesterday when he got home form work as she was dropping Mary off and I had to run to drop of some bills to mail at the post office. By the time I got home ( a whole five minutes after my mom got there in our small town where the whole twon is like 10 blocks square...) my mom had my dh beliving I was in full b__wn labor! I should really gaurd what I say to her.......and amyn, so 18 weeks to go, sometimes they will fly by and sometimes they will drag! Dawn, sorry to hear you slipped to your dad. Was he upset to know? We didn't find out for the first but htis time we couldn't help it as the tech kept saying she knew what it was so we had to know.....and then it turns out that it is still obvious even at 37 + weeks she was still beaing all......she has been moving around alot and it feels like the rolling agin, hoping she is keeping her head down against the cervix so she won't let the placenta in the way....

ashley - June 9

I finally got that picture of my belly posted on yahoo. My internet was not working or was working extremely slow last night, so I never could get it posted last night. I put it under miscellaneous 2 album. Hopefully some others will follow suit and post belly pics or what ever they want, but POST.. Okay now I am going to read Dawns and Ems posts and then i'll post again.

ashley - June 9

Dawn-was your dad upset you spilled the beans?? It is what it is... lol I made sure I said she/he randomly to dh's parents until he was ready to tell them. But there was NO way I could of kept it the whole time. Em-my discharge has been snotty looking lately. No blood. TMI sorry. Its been thicker and clear or yellowish too. Apparenlty though Im not dialating so its not my plug. I couldn't tell you if its suppose to be blood tinged or not. Geez em- this could be the start, how exciting. But try not to get your hopes up to high, just incase the baby decides to stay put until 40 weeks... good luck, keep us posted. I never went into labor with contractions/cramping. I just had my water broke and they then induced me since I didn't start contracting on my own. BUT let us know. Justine-I hope you are feeling better. I have had a stomach ache the last two days. I have had diarrhea again. NO EARLY baby for me...

amyn - June 9

Hello ladies, Happy Friday to you.. ooo Emily, I hope you get your wish, best of luck in labor if you do. Justine I hope you feel better and your blood pressure stabalizes. Jack decided to scare me last night, I hadn't felt him move since yesterday afternoon so I of course was worried to death and called the doc. The nurse said it was normal for me not to feel little bub move for 3 or 4 days since I"m only 22 weeks. So of course after I talked to her Jack started to move. Silly boy, gosh is this worrying always going to be this bad ?

amyn - June 9

what I meant was I this morning I still hadn't felt him move since yesterday so I called the doc today

ashley - June 9

glad you got to feel him move finally! I don't really remember at what point I really felt him a lot. probably around 25 weeks I think.

ashley - June 9

I feel totally c___ppy today all of a sudden. Got a headache, just feel cruddy.. yuck

Hello girls - how is everyone doing? I have not been doing the greatest, I wasn't planning on being absent again but I've not been feeling the greatest at times for the past couple days. It started on Wednesday morning, I had a bad aching in my stomach. I went up to the bathroom, w/ diarrhea, and it was basically all water....sorry if it's tmi. I dragged myself to my aunt's to watch my gma, while i was there I had to visit the bathroom a couple times, fell asleep in the chair for 30min. while i was there. around lunch time I was somewhat hungry so made us each a grilled cheese sandwich and a few hours later i had to visit the bathroom again. By the time i went home it was fine. Then Thursday i woke up with the same pain, went up to the bathroom and the same thing!....basically water! went to watch my gma, less bathroom visits this time and most of the time it was just to pee, which was good. then last night it was a little more solid. Last night dh and i took a walk to Dairy Queen and i got a peanut buster parfait, then we walked over to the ball diamond and watched the game...it was so nice, just relaxing like that. anyway...after we got home it was pretty late so we went to bed. This morning i woke up, no pain....then in the afternoon I started getting a gurgling in my stomach again...went up to the bathroom....mostly diarrhea. It seems when i eat peanuts, that's when it kicks in, so i'm staying away from pnuts! So far it's been okay since the last bathroom visit. Em - I can't believe you are so close!!! OMG! this is pretty exciting! Ash and Justine - you won't be far behind her. Kristen - I'm so sorry to hear about your predictament, I hope things turn out for the better for you. If you don't mind me asking, what happened!? I thought you and dh were getting along so well? Where did this seperation/divorce come from? I'm a little in shock from this news...like, what? why? how?. We're here for you though, keep that in mind. We've been through things together in the past, we won't leave you stranded now. (((hugs)) Well, I think that's all for me. I don't know if anyone has seen them but I posted pics of my nephews on the POOPS page, in the New Babies section...since it has Preston in them. Ash - i'm not a pooh fan but i'll still check out your nursery pics. Take care all!
