Thats an interesting question...probably better answered by Grandpa Viv...he does more research than myself...At 5 or 51/2 weeks your body is probably still going through the first phases of pregnancy..and remember the baby itself would be two weeks behind that so at 3 to 31/2 weeks old...it is possible...The doc would probably be able to feel some growth in your uterus...if they were looking..if they werent they may not notice it...also some woman get a bluish tint/color to their cervix/uterus(one of them) which is also a doctors clue to pregnancy...I dont believe everyone gets this though...I think yes but it could easily be missed...It is still hard sometimes at 5 weeks to see the sac on a sonogram...and thats zoomed...why do you ask?

i went to my first exam and got the pap and everything. i was 5 weeks. my doctor used the term "everything feels fine" but as to what they were feeling for im not sure. what do you think your dr might have felt?

I think that by 8 to 10 weeks something definitive can be felt. A doppler will pick up a heartbeat at that stage. By 12 weeks the uterus can be felt pushing its way up behind the pubic bone. At 5 weeks the comment might be that the uterus is thickening. Hope I have this right.
