Just wondering... I've heard both sides to this one... some say it's a better sign of pregnancy if CM is stretchy or gooey, but some also say that having CM that is more like white lotion is better... so which one is it? Any opinions/answers would be great! Thanks ladies!

I have read and heard more often that it is lotiony.....I couldnt tell you personally, cause back when I had my children I never paid attention to cm. But that is what I keep reading on different sites and hearing most often from pg ladies on this forum, lotiony.... Hope that helps!!

Pre-Ovulation Following the menstrual period, there is a feeling of dryness. There will be no visible mucus. Gradually, more mucus will acc_mulate - yellow, cloudy, or white in color and sticky to the touch. Approaching Ovulation As you approach ovulation, your cervical mucus will increase. First, there will be a moistness or stickiness to the mucus, as well as a white or cream-colored appearance. During Ovulation At ovulation, the quant_ty of mucus will increase greatly and the appearance will resemble "egg whites", often semitransparent. The texture will become increasingly slippery and 'stretchable'. This is your most fertile time. Following Ovulation Following ovulation, the slippery quality of the cervical mucus will decrease and the mucus will become sticky and cloudier. Post-ovulatory dryness will also ensue.

Thanks for responding so soon! This is a confusing one for me because I've heard so many differnt things about CM..... right now my CM is lotiony and sticky.. but not stretchy or slippery at all. I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or a bad sign. I had one day of pink very light spotting on Dec. 16-17, but I haven't had any more spotting since then. My Period is due to start on Dec.25 (if it does start).. thanks for the responses!
