Does A Very Very Faint Positve Mean For Sure A BFP

So, I currently have a 9 month daughter and I started getting my period again about 2 months ago. My husband just decided he wants a divorce (oh joy!) and that happened about a month ago and I think I'm pregnant again. So, I tested this morning and I got a very very faint positive (my next period is supposed to start Sunday but I've been feeling a lot recently like I did when I was prego with my daughter). Is it true that it's much mor likely to get a false negative then a false positive? I'm trying to talk myself into thinking that maybe it's all just a big mistake but I know what I saw on that test stick. I tested again tonight an it was pretty obviously positive. I guess I can test again tomorrow or wait and see if my period comes. What do you guys think?

oooppss... i meant to say that when i tested tonight it was an obvious BFN. That's why I'll check again tomorrow or Sunday :)

Tritty, I'm sorry to hear about your husband. But it's far more likely to get a false negative than a false positive. Generally, if you see a line, it's a positive. Try going to peeonastick.com There's a lot of information about hpts on there. Which test did you use the first time and which on did you use the second time? Also, how long did you wait to check both tests? Maybe the first was an evap line?

tritty, i got two FAINT positives, one at night and one in the morning. turns out I was only 3 weeks, counting from lmp. took another three days later, and boom, there was a nice bold line. doc confirmed it and now i am 5 weeks. good luck with your relationship. what, he can't handle the kids? men can be so weak. i'm divorced, too. no kids, thank god. but i am not pregnant with my wonderful fiance (just got engaged when we found out we're pg) and couldn't be happire. life has a funny way of giving you surprises! good luck! i think you're pg!
