i'm pretty sure i'm pregnant and this morning i woke up with i guess a feaver blister. i've never had one before. i know it's not a cold sore, b/c there's no sore, just a puffy, ouchy lip. has anyone experienced this or have any insight? and should i be concerned about this? any info is appreciated.

Fever blisters are common when you're pregnant. Have you done a HPT.

erica, i did an hpt on the 19th i think and it was negative, but i'm having seveal "symptoms". i have been pregnant before but miscarried, so i'm trying to wait a bit longer before taking another hpt. any advice on when i should take one? i'm very anxious to know.

Also, wether you are pregnant or not you can go out and get some medicine for it. Cold sores and fever blisters are the same thing, just called different names from what I have always known. I had a real problem with them with this pregnancy. I mean like, I was getting one almost every week kind of bad. So I asked my doctor about it and she gave me a prescription. So if you find out you are and you continue to get them ask your doc. Does seem like a silly question to ask, but since I got that med the next one I had never even really developed and went away within a day. I also haven't had one since.

thanks all for the help. also, misty, i was wondering what the difference was, if any, between a cold sore and feaver blister, so thanks for clearing that up. i really hope i'm pregnant, but i'm trying not to get my hopes up. everyone cross your fingers!
