Hi Girls! Guess what?! I finally got my BFP today! After miscarrying in January and 8 months ttc since then, my patience has finally been rewarded :-). I'm so excited that I can't even be nervous about the weeks ahead. Thanks to everyone I've chatted to over the past months for all of your support!!

Thanks for all of your good wishes! I wish I could "share my trick" with you, but as we all know - there are no tricks, just luck! So I am sprinkling huge truckloads of lucky babydust over all of you and concentrating on more bfp's for everyone . Take care :-)***+*+*+**++**+**++**+****

charmaine - September 6

Congrats Lynette! Pls share w us your pre-pregnancy symptons. Also, when was ur last af cycle and when did u test to confirm ur BFP?!!!

Lynette - September 6

Well, it's funny you ask, Charmaine, because this month I felt "different" so early on that I actually kept a diary of my symptoms. I didn't think it was possible to feel things before implantation occurred, and I don't know how it happens, but I'm a convert now! My last af was 1st August. I used opk's for about the 4th month in a row, plus Preseed lubricant (3rd month with that). It was a good thing I was opk'ing because I didn't ovulate until cd18!! I would usually have "stopped trying" by then (and let hubby have a well-earned break). I will say that this time, as soon as I got the positive opk we bd'd that night and I fell asleep with my hips elevated and didn't wake up for 5 hours (to go to the loo). So I guess "the boys" had a lot of time to wander up the tubes. Okay - symptoms: at 2/3dpo itchy nipples - at 2dpo slight cramping around right ovary - from 4dpo until now, the SOREST nipples ever (I blamed it on all the scratching on day 2/3 lol!) - GRUMPY as all hell! - I hated myself for being so awful to my husband (that continued until I got my bfp ;-) ). At 4dpo felt like I had a fever (only for about an hour though). Low abdominal cramps at 8dpo. Dreaming HEAPS. Tested at 8dpo and got a negative. Finally got my BFP on 11dpo after accidentally opening a packet while I was doing a cleanout and realised it was a pregnancy test (I was going to wait until Thursday). So yippee, hey? I hope that answers all of your questions. If I can help of give you support in any way let me know. Good luck!!

charmaine - September 6

so do u hv the well-known LOTIONY & LOADS CM?

Lynette - September 6

Well, not really, but I don't have much in the way of cm anyway (that's why the Preseed comes in so handy and why I have been using opk's - I can't tell by my cm when I'm ovulating). I guess any that is there is kind of creamy, but it's not something that I went "wow, that's weird" if you know what I mean. Why - are you having some symptoms? What stage are you at? And Emily and Amy, what stages are you at if you are still checking this thread? If not, I'll have to go and find you ;-)

Jill - September 6

Lynette - Sorry to barge in. I had a mc in May and we have been ttc for the last two months. I started af on 8/13 and we bd on 22, 23, 25 and 27. It looked like I o'ed on the 26. My afs have been messed up since the mc, so it is frustrating. I have been having some cramping in my lower stomach for about 5 days and on Sat had the worst wave of nausea I have had in a while. Also woke up this morning hungry as a bear, like I had forgotten to eat dinner. I am about 10 dpo and I tested yesterday..couldn't wait and it was bfn. I hate waiting. Weird symptom - If i gently sqeeze my bbs I can see the little ducts where milk would eventually come if I were pg. These ducts are much more prominent than they usually are - What do you think??

Lynette - September 6

Jill, I'm so sorry for your miscarriage. It makes ttc even more stressful the second time around, doesn't it?! Anyway, you are still totally in the game because 9/10dpo is usually too early to test. Most advice is to wait until the first day of a missed period (yeah right who can wait that long, hey?). All of the things you describe COULD be pregnancy symptoms. I think you should start writing down your symptoms each month (I did it for the first few months I was ttc so I could get to know my body, and this last one because it was so odd). That way, you will know what is "normal" for you and know which things to ignore each month (if you aren't pregnant this month that is!). It's amazing how well tuned-in to our bodies we become when ttc, and sometimes maybe read more into things that we should, but just try to send lots of positive energy to your womb and cross your fingers that this is it. Good luck!! :-)

Deb - September 6

Lynette thats is so awesome!! I am so happy for you!! I will be using PreSeed for the second month this weekend. I hope it does as much wonders for me as it has for you. I too dont get much cm and need opk to determine ovulation. I wish you the best girl. You are an inspiration to us all. I have been off the pill since Jan and trying to conceive my first child for the past 6 months. This will be month 7 (month 3 of charting and month 2 of preseed). Hope I will be as lucky as you!

Lynette - September 7

Hey Deb - thanks so much for your kind words. Good luck with the Preseed. I was really lucky it worked this month because after using the last application (on "o" day) my hubby said it was the LAST time he'd use it (lol) because it makes things too "slippery". Well, the "boys" must have known this was their last chance!! A lot of my friends got pregnant around month 7 of coming off the pill so this could be your month. Remember - HIPS UP! Hee hee - take care :-)

Tyra - September 7

Hi Lynette, congratulations on your pregnancy! This is my third month ttc my second child - i was very close to giving up, but hearing that it took you 8 months has kept me going. With my first child it took 2 years! I hope everything goes well for you. I wish you all the luck in the world, you deserve this baby xxxx

Lynette - September 7

Hi Tyra! Thank you so much. We all deserve happy, healthy babies :-). Good luck with ttc. The waiting and hoping is very stressful, but at least you know you don't have fertility problems, because of your first healthy child ;-). I'll bet you are pregnant before you know it, and if it takes a little longer, it will make it all the more special. Take care, and thanks again :-)
