First Trimester

I've had problems with insomnia in the past and used to take medication for it, but I've been off the medication for months now. I just found out I'm pregnant and sleep pretty good, but I do wake up in the middle of the night a lot and I usually can't get back to bed for 15-30 minutes sometimes. Is this bad for the unborn baby? I average about 6-7 hours a night of sleep. Maybe I'm excited to about being pregnant??

If it's your first, excitement is definitely an issue, it's not bad to lose 30 mins...but I still would suggest 8 hrs of sleep for your body's health to be the best for supply to your baby...that's what's suggested by doctors...I slept atleast 8to9 hours hours on my first...now it's iffy cuz the kids get me up all the time...but excitement not an issue for me..."another baby, hehe, to be expected..." am happy tho, but it doesn't keep me up at night like it did on the first one...good luck!
