What does a faint positive look like? I know this may sound like an obvious question, but I just took a first response hpt (my af is due Sunday) and although the negative line was very dark I could make out a very faint line to the left. It was barely noticeable, but nonetheless noticeable. Is this normal or a faint positive?

That is what happenned to me. Today (2days later) I got a positive with Clear Blue Easy.

Emma - June 10

Wow. Thanks Jen...I will try that in two days then. I didn't want to think I was imagining things but this is the first time I have seem somehting like this. Plus, it is not my first pee of the day so when I do clear blue easy in two days I will make sure it is. Congratulations on your news!

What is evap line???

Julz - June 10

Hey....Emma. Your story sounds exactly like mine. I tested with a First Repsonse Early test 5 days before AF was due, and got a VERY faint second line. I took another test the next day, and another test the following day and the lines progrssively kept getting darker, and I am now 7 wks pregnant......I would say congratulations are in order for you. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Emma - June 10

Thanks for your answer Julz! That is awesome for you! I hope I am too...we shall wait and see? What kind of symptoms did you have before you found out? I mean, did you think you were before you found out? I just have a strong intution that I am, that is why I ask.

Heather - June 10

Emma, My story is the same as Julz....kept getting darker each time I took it....hubby made me try another brand to be sure.......I am 5 weeks now.

Emma - June 10

Thanks Heather! That is great! I am so trying not to get ahead of myself in case I am disappointed with a bfn in a few days...but I don't think I was seeing things today....I don't really have any of the usual symptoms (the sore b___sts). Last week I had sore nipples but that went away, and this week I have a lot of nausea....other than that I feel like I am not pregnant. Oh well, we shall see...

And to think that I also took a first response test, creepy!!!! Congrats!!! Baby dust to everyone

Grandpa Viv - June 10

First Response Early Result tested as the most sensitive in comparative trials a while back. No matter what the test, progressively darker lines on successive tests are the best indication of an established pregnancy.

Tasha - June 10

I am in the exact same boat as you right now! 2 days ago I tested and I saw a faint line to the left, and even though it was soo light I could still see it! I had very very sore b___sts and nipples for over a week and now they're only a little sore, but I am ALWAYS nauseated, especially in the morning. I feel sooo bloated all the time and capris i bought like 2 weeks ago are feeling a little tight. I think I might test again tomorrow morning and see what it comes up as! I'm 4 days late already...but i'm trying to not think I'm pg to :o)

Amy - June 12

i took a first response early test and got the FANITEST second line it was the only one i had so i took a wal-mart and deffently LOTS darker than the first responce what do you think?

Julz - June 12

Hey Emma. I just wanted to get back to yo and let you know that I never really had any other symptoms except being thirsty all the time. I haven't really had any nausea or sore b___bs or anything like that. I just had been testing because were trying very hard to conceive. Have you taken any other tests yet?

Brittany - June 12

I took a first response and got a Very faint pink line and tested 2 days later and the line was darker. I have tested with other brands and I am pregnant so I would say you are most likely pregnant. Congratulations!

EmmaH - June 12

Yes, I think I am pregnant! I took a blood test yesterday to be sure but I have had three positive tests. I thought I would be so happy, I never knew that the worry would set in so quickly. I am trying to stay optimistic but reading about all this miscarriages has got me panicked! I am a worry wart by nature! Anyways, thanks for the support !
