Grandpa Viv And Other Knowledgeable People

I have a question that I haven't been able to find a solid answer to. Do I start counting the very first sign of blood as day 1 of my cycle, or do I count the first "real" blood as day 1 of my cycle. I will spot light beige for the 2 to 5 days before red or more significant blood shows up. The spotting is very light, only a panty liner a day needed (I could go longer if it was sanitary to do so...because the liner doesn't fill up after an entire day of wear). Do I count the spotting as day 1 or do I count the red consistant flow as day 1? I may have been doing it wrong all along and missing my fertile days because of it. Please help. Thanks.

Im not sure on that, Im kinda new at this, I do have a 12 year old daughter and for the life of me I can not remember. I would like to know if Grampa Viv is in the medical field I have so many questions.

CD1 is the first day of FLOW - spotting does not count. HTH!!

Missy. What does HTH mean?

I would go with the flow! If you are ttc and want to confirm ovulation, buy a BBT thermometer at the pharmacy and learn how to temperature chart at fertilityfriend.com. BTW, I am not in the medical field - that is a myth. Good luck
